I like your Manly P. Hall quote, I just bought the Secret Teachings of All ages a week or two ago.

I hope you find a good place here in the forum.
Thank you.

It's an excellent title, truly invaluable.

It's a great effort to read cover to cover, but I'm sure you will enjoy yourself.

Re: Zepar

Eh. Santa Claus is also a real character. He lived in the Middle Ages, the priest, whose achievements have been recorded in history, but over the years the memory of him has evolved to what we hear now. Yes, I know. I do not understand you. My English is not so good. And now that sentence I do not ...

Re: Question about the kybalion

I do think that a man that 'slays dragons' in the astral can't feel social anxiety and cannot not have a strong presence that leads to good position on the earthly. From this idea of mine I assume therefore that being weak in the earthly translates into weakness of character that affects the 'other...

Re: Zepar

He is the Fallen Angel from Legementon, precisely from Goetia. Interesting. I will look into the Goetia. He is not an archetype and a product of unoconscious or imagination. He really is. So is Santa Claus. A real experience is not permission to believe the content is real beyond a superficial leve...

Re: Zepar

Who is Zepar, and why would you want to talk to him? And how are you making a distinction between a real metaphysical entity, an archetype, a product of your unconscious, or your own imagination? I pulled this from wikipedia: Zepar is a Great Duke of Hell. He commands 26 legions of inferior spirits....

Re: Question about the kybalion

If you think about it like that though nothing is truly a necessity, except food, water, and shelter of course. I don't feel that's completely true though. As conscious beings, we have a "need" to achieve and live . We have a "need" to love and be loved. We have a "need&quo...

Re: Question about the kybalion

To be honest, I have never read the Kybalion, but I guess it would mean appealing to your lower nature. The beast inside.

EDIT: I suppose you draw the line beyond necessity, and the only real way to determine that is by seeing, feeling and thinking clearly.

Re: What music are you listening to now?

Okay, those last two posts were very interesting. The divided Buckley Family, Father and son. The music of these two is slightly off but pretty effective from what I sampled. Evoking subtleties from within e.g. a pleasant memory long forgotten. It seems the son was slightly more successful in the m...

Re: schizophenia+occult+remedy

I see no reason to think that somebody cannot use a mystical or magical system if they have an abnormal brain structure. I agree. Also just to clarify in the book Rethinking Madness it says there has been no evidence whatsoever that schizophrenia is caused by a physical brain abnormality that didn'...

Re: schizophenia+occult+remedy

Are you familiar with Terence Mckenna's book the invisible landscape? The first few chapters compare the similarities and differences of shamanism and schizophrenia. It's not a practice or anything particularly occult in any traditional sense of the word, but you may find of it immense interest to s...

Re: spirit attack!!!!!!!

I agree with Rooftop's recommendation to broaden your scope of study and to explore the thought and language of other great minds. It will help you learn to shift styles of thinking and consider information from different perspectives. Jung, Watts, and RAW are all excellent starting points. I would ...

Re: 10 Golden Dawn Spells

UPDATE I preformed the experiment. My plan was to go to the bar, mingle with some babes, and test the effects of the virility solution that way, but after preparing the solution everyone else decided not to go to the bar. I didn't feel like going alone, so my observations are without interpersonal ...

Re: 10 Golden Dawn Spells

I think I'm going to experiment with the male virility concoction tonight; I have all of the ingredients in my kitchen. But it depends on how I choose to spend the rest of the evening.

But considering I follow through I will post the results, if any.

Aloha

New member here. Glad to have found this forum. I've dabbled in the occult on and off, in various forms for a number of years and have recently been drawn to study magick, mysticism, alchemy, shamanism and the occult in greater depth. I anticipate a wealth of great and novel discussion in the near f...
