Re: How to stop the End of the World?

No stopping the end of the world. Simply put, regardless of religious belief, someday the sun will go supernova and destroy the earth so why worry about it?

Re: Checking in and question

Liber aba, book 4 is made up of the 4 books within liber aba. You can buy the books separately or you can buy them as the single big blue brick. The first book in liber aba is mysticism, this book isn't very long and I haven't seen this outside aba but you can find 8 lectures on yoga, which is bette...

Re: Spells to gain weight

What does your diet consist of these days? Generally, when people are trying to lose weight they would cut out as much sugar and carbs as possible. If you don't eat a whole lot of carb heavy foods you may want to try adding them into your diet. If you already eat plenty of carbs, it may be time to j...

Re: How effective is magic for altering personality traits?

I'm not really able to think of an entire system that this would compliment entirely. I can say that Dion Fortune wrote about doing this sort of thing and I did find a book that explores all this in further detail. If you check out "kabbalah, magic and the great transformation" you'll find...

Re: How effective is magic for altering personality traits?

The qabalistic worlds can be tapped into by using the different color scales and the different names (heavens in assiah, angels, archangels and godnames). For example, to invoke geburah in assiah, you would visualize your aura filling with the colors of the sephiroth, red with black specks. Do a fir...

Re: How effective is magic for altering personality traits?

Of course it can. I can't speak in terms of chaos magic since that area isn't my specialty, but I did an experiment years ago invoking the energy of the sephiroth in their various forms (four worlds) and it worked very well. Take for example confidence. Invoking gerburah in assiah will give you a to...

Re: Did I summon or invoke something?

I'm with Desecrated on this one. Sigils work once they are forgotten about so as long as you're thinking about the goal, nothing will happen. I did lean a trick from someone when it comes to sigils. Whenever you have a goal you need, create a sigil for it right away. Make a pile of sigils, maybe 5-6...

Re: What does an occult library need.

Realistically, What would you want from an occult library? Let say that I decide to open one in your town. what should I have on my shelfs to draw you in? I'm the first to admit that I'm a bit of a book snob. I love rare, old, hard to find books. What would draw me into an occult library? Having bo...

I can't recall anyone from this forum off the top of my head that practices, other than myself. I work far more with the 182, temple of qayin, material but I use a fair amount of the totbl material as well. I have a bunch of the ixaxaar books so I mix it all together.

Re: MLO -

I'm a bit torn on my feelings about the subject. Part of me couldn't care less what people on the internet are doing nor if high school metalheads are downloading the book off torrent sites. There are guardians on the path and those of the serpants bloodline will be guided to gnosis. However,it does...

Re: Thinking of starting the Middle Pillar Ritual

I assure you, while it may seem as though you are doing an earth invocation "for no apparent reason", there is a very good reason for doing lbrp after waking and lbrp before sleep. Also, this leads to the second comment that it is also a misunderstanding that the lbrp is simply used as a b...

Re: Thinking of starting the Middle Pillar Ritual

Yeah, one thing I was taught back in my GD days was when doing the pentagram ritual, during the invoking you visualize the angels facing in towards you and during banishing you have them facing out. Here's a little tip, the pent ritual uses the earth pentagram. Naturally you do invoking when you wak...

Re: Thinking of starting the Middle Pillar Ritual

This is just my 2 cents here, but before jumping into the MPR I would suggest you finish the Pentagram ritual. It is a misunderstanding that the LBRP is a stand alone ritual, while infact it is only half of a ritual. I would suggest starting up the routine of doing the lesser invoking ritual when yo...

Re: Todays laVeyan Satanists oooohhhh Boy

Please don't take this as a comment towards all who follow the CoS or atheistic satanism, but from my own experience when someone worships their own ego, extreme self-centeredness and extreme douch-baggery are fairly common. I wouldn't worry about it too much, their have their views and you have you...

Re: Just ordered "the magick of aliester crowley"

Magick of Aleister Crowley is a good introduction to Thelema. I would also recommend Abrahadabra. These two books will give you enough overview to thelemic magick and allow you to get an idea of whether you want to follow that path or not.

Re: Difference between the OTO and A.'. A.'.

There are some major differences between the two organizations. Firstly, OTO is much more of a social club while AA is strictly a magical Order. OTO is very similar to what you would find in Freemasonry but Thelemic. You will learn and have magical tasks to complete in each grade, butas I said, it r...

Get yourself a supply of those diabetic finger pricker things. You'll bleed just fine. If you are hell-bent on creating an ink instead, adding your blood to an ink along with other elements related to your goal will work fine.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents, I wouldn't say that there is a lack of information regarding the occult online.
