Is there a name for...
Hiyaz
Is there a name for the idea that disease in the physical body is a reflection of dis-ease in the mind?
I'm talking specifics, like... problems with "this" organ are a direct reflection of "that" mental/spiritual issue.
I appreciate your response

Re: Falling in love
I think Love is mis-defined and has always had fairy-tale package. It's not that Love isn't a beautiful thing, but It and how life works has always been explained in childhood and portrayed in media as a fairy tale... so people grow up expecting fairy tales. When things don't go as expected they thi...

Re: Dark Night of the Soul
I was raised Christian.. and like many, slowly fell away from it in the light of more open spiritual beliefs. The pursuit of 'truth' always guiding me. Then a couple years ago a change happened in me. I don't recall a catalyst. I didn't consciously initiate it. I remember first thinking something wa...

Re: Spiritual Atheism
It may perhaps be worth distinguishing Theism (personal god) from Deism (impersonal god). Thus a Deist is necessarily a spiritual atheist. Deism is common in Asia. I have read... Deism - God created the world and does not interact with it Pantheism - All is God, always was God. No interaction Pande...

Heya Desecrated... I remember you from when I frequented in the past.Desecrated wrote:I'm an atheist and a practitioner. I don't think I'm very spiritual.
Do you consider magic inherent in the world or issuing from yourself? ... if as an atheist, you don't consider it from a divine source?

Re: Dark Night of the Soul
Do you mind stupid question? What is that? What is the"Dark Night of the Soul"? Well that's kinda what I was asking. There are many interpretations and I just wanted to get the communities take. Some have talked about it as being set upon by mental demons, but usually it's described as a ...

Clockwork Ghost, I apologize. My post was an immature outburst. Mean concidering you mean well, but ya gotta understand its fueled not by the arguements, but by my love of the forum and what it is/was. Re: A reduced presence on the forum
At least before you went you were able to run off many senior posters including, Ramscha, myself and manonthepath, a global moderator appointed for appeasement... for Cyberdemon, who entered the forum in conflict and controversy and was rewarded with the other moderator position. He can watch over t...

Re: Desire
Desire and aversion, opposite sides of a coin. They don't talk about aversion, but it's almost implied being the opposite pole of desire. Being 'poles' are what keep one from moving on. It highlights an imbalance. One ready to move on wound be balanced. So our desires and aversions are actually road...

Re: Putting yourself out there
I am always myself, but I gauge quantity of information by my company. If questioned I will, however, explain my beliefs in as much painful detail as they care to hear. Be yourself, but don't throw yourself out there. If you are yourself you may repel friends of conflicting... frequencies,.. but you...

Re: "becoming" a vampire?
As said above, vampires aren't the glamorized dark strangers they appear in Hollywood. People wanting to become vampires often show their lack of info. There are a few types of vampires. The closest to what you probably want are the psychic vampires talked of. They are often born such or become so u...

Re: New Global Moderator - cyberdemon
A good debate? To each his own, but I don't think so. Students have been complaining for centuries of teachers with holding information or being vauge. And as said in that thread, I don't think anyone owes another anything here other than common courtesy, but that wasn't really in question. I congra...

Re: New Global Moderator - cyberdemon
I don't know cyberdemon, only read a few post relating to the adding rule debate. It seems a weird thing making a moderator out of a relatively new person who was embroiled in conflict almost from the start.
