Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing
Yes, because I was misled with this info. I practiced diaphramatic breathing thinking that I shouldn't feel muscle tension in the upper torso effectively limiting my breath. Vertical and horizontal breathing are a great visual cues to how can one breathe and with the support of the horizontal breath...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing
Funny and informative, what's not to like? :D But I must interfere, and say that they are wrong. Vjetruša explained another technique that may deliver even better results. It applies both methods effectively leading to fuller and lighter breath. It's not completely wrong but the way it is written it...

Re: As a magician, what do you do in your free-time?
I was doing a lot of things, taken up a lot of hobbies in my life but only few stuck. One is writing. I started writing during middle school. I wrote mainly poetry but later I started writing short stories. As a fan of fantasy and science fiction, mainly I wrote that kind of stories. That fueled my ...

Re: Musician and Occultist
Uh that actually bothers me a bit. It forces you to listen to the song with full concentration. I'm not quite sure if I got that right but it does something subtle to the mind. I'll blame my unfamiliarity with black metal. [grin] Also I wanted to ask, what de you recommend for relaxation before play...

Re: Creating a sigil
When thinking about how to deal with this in m mind popped this thread. Is it wise to try to make this big of a change? My SOI should be carefully selected then. Big changes often require either too overly specific SOI's that are too complex and lack a single point of focus, or are too generic or l...

Re: Creating a sigil
OK I'm again changing my SOI to something that is more important to me and several other people. There is a possibility that our space where we practice as a band could be closed due to several political reasons. But it is not so important to the politicians and there is a possibility to easily dist...

Re: How to deal with someone who is trying to intimidate me?
See it as a pendulum what energy you give in, similar results will follow. If you give the same energy that pendulum already has (frustration, anger) this is what you'll have back. Your dream seems to be warning you about rash decisions, so work on controlling your anger. Some of the people I met se...

Re: Question about motionlessness practice (Liber MMM pg14)
It specifically says to try not to blink. Should I be practicing with my eyes closed? That's the only way I know not to blink for 15 minutes. If the eyes are open but not moving that overlaps with later staring exercises. Just seemed a bit unrealistic so I thought maybe I was reading it too literal...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
I have practiced motionlessness from time to time and I believe I have become proficient in it. It's very interesting to be able to control yourself even when faced with pain, or great discomfort. Now, I know that pain means "something is wrong" but I just wanted to see how far can I go. ...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking
Just to say I'm still in on this, but I haven't got the discipline nowadays to add one more practice to my daily life. So I have tried this - if the whole point is to prepare and achieve no-thinking state which is fairly difficult to achieve I should do it more often. I'm being present as much as I ...

Re: Musician and Occultist
Just my 2 cents... I have found that experimental sound manipulation works well in a ritual setting. Constructing loops and layering them intentionally to create a platform to build off of. My experience with pushing Will through music has been nothing short of life changing. I did a series of LPs ...

Read by the feeling you'll understand the context and the emotions. It can be hard though, but "don't look at the finger, look where he's pointing". I agree that you can see the whole "fear of spirituality" thing everywhere. It is the fear of life, of themselves, of the world aro...

Hmm, first religious texts are the best for this kind of study. Consciousness takes many forms, but none so pure like in religious texts. Try reading Joseph Campbell or Carl Jung. They talk about it in a detail.

That's a good bough-used ratio. I tend to buy books, read 20% of them, and continue to read e-books on my phone rather that the real thing. I shuld change that behaviour, it's not fair toward them [tongue]

Re: Musician and Occultist
I am a singer and I utilize meditations to calm myself down before performing. Also it helps me with my breathing. When I'm singing I try by feeling to project and radiate "higher vibrations" as I dive into the song and try to communicate it by feeling to others so to make it an emotional...
