Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

Did 3 sessions of 20 minute meditation back-to-back-to-back last night (alarm sounds after 20 mins to make sure I don't fall asleep)... went through the usual process of motionless, breathing and then not thinking and then staring into the distance of my mind's eye with anticipation.... felt the usu...

Re: Putting yourself out there

This gives me power every day (I suffer from social anxiety so I'm not ready for them yet and this post is part of my self training). I wish you luck with whatever you choose to do, just think twice before acting. And if people are harsh on you: never forget yourself. If I were you, I'd may conside...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing

I was swept upt these days so i only managed to do some motionlessness for a few minutes every time a chance would pop up. But this breathing exercise proved to be really hard to master. I zone out after only two minutes and feel a adrenaline punch when it happens. Maybe I should relax more or wait...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing

Epic night last night.... Was determined to do motionless and breathing... Did nothing "spiritual" before-hand (no banishing, LBRP, etc.). Got cozy in bed, I wrap an extra blanket around my legs and feet (lightly, not too constricted). It's my security blanket! - I've had things go bump in...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing

Even though this is a basic exercise, I'll still practice and post results as though these were my first times practicing. A little bit earlier I spent about 50 minutes meditating lying in bed while my mate took a shower. It took me a few times to get comfortable enough to hold still, but once I di...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness

http://www.macleans.ca/society/life/how-to-be-happy/ - This article is interesting and is applicable to what we're doing here - guy's theory is to set the goal of the habit very low and counter-intuitively *don't* increase the goal over time. Read for full explanation. I'm going to experiment with ...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness

Attempted 20 minute motionless last night after my cleansing/banishment for the Post-Chaos Modern Demonology class. Fell asleep and my alarm that was set for 20 minutes didn't even wake me up - I was zonked out good. Woke up a couple hours later with the alarm still going off. I constantly have the ...

Re: Post-Chaos Modern Demonology

I did my cleansing and banishment last night. Followed http://www.occultforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=37421 but did LBRP with intonations of God names in Hebrew like I usually do. Everything energetically felt alive and... magical; that vibe where you're one with the universe. I sub-merge...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness

Performed motionless last night. First time was a false start - muscle twitches snapped me out of it and I moved only after a minute or two. Second time I went 20 minutes and I stopped when my timer alarm went off.

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness

Attempted motionless three times last night. Nine minutes the first time; broken by involuntary itching (got lost in thought for a moment and then realized my arm is itching the other arm), nine minutes the second time broken by the angriest itch I've ever felt that came out of nowhere, third time 1...

Putting yourself out there

What's your opinion on pros and cons on explaining to people online (Facebook, etc.) and in person that you're into spirituality/magick/occult/whatever vs. the idea that there's power in silence and that you may get unwanted attention (either harassment or energetic interference from a bunch of peopl...

Hours. I have family and career but have plenty of time in the mornings before work and hours after work/family that I can dedicate.

Recommendations for a constant beginner

I'm tired of being a constant beginner in spirituality. I've dabbled for years - tried a little astral projection, some energy work, evocation, meditation. I'm drawn daily to thinking about the grand questions - why are we here, what is reality, etc. and I'm constantly focused on growing and evolvin...
