I second this. Given the dodgy handwaving and intentional vagueness I perceive in your post, it sounds like you may be jumping ahead of yourself.Vovi wrote:Normally we fail because the purpose is wrong. Many times failure protects us from bad karma. We must earn keys to open doors.

Re: Living under imagination vs. the law of averages
It seems to me that part of the issue at hand is letting go. If one is constantly looking for "proof" in their magick, they will never find it. Ever. If one is looking for results in their magic however, they must do their working and let it go. If you keep badgering the messenger, he can ...

Re: Potions for Gnosis and other meditative states.
Mugwort should help. It promotes relaxation, opens the mind, and allows messages to come through. When burned as incense it can help with the manifestation of a variety of spiritual beings. You can brew it as a strong tea. It has a slightly strange odor, but tastes very much like Oolong green tea to...

Re: A skeptic's last resort
House-spirit = Nisser in this case. (We all call them different things in different areas and traditions.) I'm thinking more and more that this isn't a house-spirit/Nisser. With the cold spots, electronics failing, and those poor birds, this sounds more and more like a haunting. I hope others will c...

Re: A skeptic's last resort
Nesrail -- Glad you're still around -- I didn't expect a reply so soon! I do have some theories that I'm glad to share, but they're a little weaker with the information from your last post. Specifically, the cold-spots are throwing me off. 1) Do you (or your girlfriend) tend to lose a lot of small i...

Re: How do you afford magic?
I can't find anything cheap, real dead sea salt is like 20 bucks for a small bag that lasts maybe two baths. So if one wants to do ritual work once a week it's at least 40 bucks. the essential oils are maybe 10 dollars but lasts longer. Finding dried herbs is like 10-20 dollars for a whole month. S...

Re: Black magic store???
Again, sorry to bump an old thread, but I figured I'd add to the resources. https://www.hexwitch.com/ Run by Salem, MA's own resident "Necromancer" (He's quite the celebrity), this place has all sorts of things for all sorts of magick. They have a distinct Voodoo/Hoodoo flavor, but that op...

Re: A skeptic's last resort
Sorry to bump an older post, but I'm curious to see how you are doing, Nesrail. I have some additional theories that might be useful, if your problem hasn't been helped yet.
Good luck to you.

Re: How do you afford magic?
At what point does it stop being magic and just become psychology? That's the crux of it all though, isn't it? All magic. How much of these materials simply stoke our belief that it will work, and how much of these materials actually effect the reality of the ritual? How much of a working is our ow...

My username is Goði, and I sign my posts as Runar.
A Goði is a chieftan/priest of the Old Norse. Runar means "one that carves Runes".
Pretty simple & straight-forward [cool]

Good evening, all -- I go by Goði; it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I specialize in Runes and ancient Nordic magick; Spæ-craft, Runes, GaldrastafR, etc. A bit outside the "normal" Western Mysteries school, but very much relevant today. I find that it's a very primal, basic practi...
