So...where's everyone?

Don't know how long its been but I've been absent for a...while? Had to get my life back in some semblance of order. Happy to say I'm doing much better, dealing pretty well with my chronic depression and finally said goodye to a burnout. I feel that now is time for me to plunge back into the occult ...

Re: Need Help Identifying Strange Documents

Supposed genealogy of some supposed person...let's be real here , not buy into some possibly created mythology... [thumbup] That explains the little text I can read at the bottom one which goes on about some supposed King and loyal service to a Royal family. @violetflame; hope you are able to get i...

Re: Need Help Identifying Strange Documents

Hard to read copies but top is definitely Latin, some runes interwoven and the bottom main text is one hundred percent Old German. I can clearly read some words though the copy makes my eyes hurt as the letters sort of "dance" around as they are doubled up and vague. If there was a larger and cleare...

Re: Have you seen it before?

Chaos star has eight arrows as does the old Sumerian cuneiform for "deity" (see my avatar). Theologically speaking nine stands for judgement or finality/completeness, it is a number of patience as the creator's will shall be done. Metaphysically it stands for humanity, philantropy, wisdom and initia...

Re: Why do you study the occult?

What is it that drives you to study? What is it that you hope to accomplish with occult knowledge? When I started out it was purely "let's go nuts". I'll be honest, I was young, had many "dark" interests (edge-lord that I was ::) ), had a few paranormal experiences and was basically quite a foolish...

Re: What part of the world are you from?

Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I really do not like it here. It's supposedly so liberal, if you believe the media, but it's a far cry from reality. The Netherlands was great when I was younger but this country is changing fast. Racial tensions, LGBT bashing, egotism...pretty much like everywhere else b...

Re: So I was reading the book of: "Genesis", N'NoticedSometh

In the particular branch of Judaism I was in, I was explained that there were many other people already inhabiting the earth. It was just that Adam and Chaya(Eve) were the first of a new order of people; capable of understanding good and evil and being born from the divine and spiritual world rather...

Re: Scariest experiences with the occult?

Not through any real occult work as such but still a story that will stay with me forever. Also part of dumb-shit-I-have-done list, is a haunting investigation at an abandoned house. Now, this country is pretty small. So small in fact, that abandoned houses are extremely rare. They usually get renov...

Re: Experiences in real Occult Groups and covens

I'm a solitary practitioner because for one I feel it's much easier to focus and direct a single intention into a working ritual. I have dabbled with two groups which were okay I guess. The over-inflated egos left of their own accord but the groups kind of drifted apart over time. We didn't so much ...

Re: Are fictional characters egregores?

I think they are. Though egrogores are normally purposefully created certain characters do reflect ideals and aspirations people aspire to. This is basically what an egrogore is for; a focus to work with and not so much an external entity. Obviously not everyone would see fictional characters as egr...

1. Lot's of chaff out there and it takes some time to get to the good stuff. Personally I learned a little bit from three books. Evoking Eternity by Koetting, The Practice of Magical Evocation by Franz Bardon and Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson. I took the bare bones from those books and evolved ...

Re: EVP (electronic voice phenomena)

Both Desecrated and PoisonPen bring up some very good points. I have around five years of past experience with EVP. I used to be part of a local ghost hunters group, I 'retired' not that long ago because I no longer felt I had the energy to deal with all the detritus of other people and entities. Lo...

I do think you'll know when you are ready. Sometimes things just seem to align in the right way, fall into place or whatever. Just keep going forward in the KISS-tradition (keep it simple stupid). I think it is safe to say everybody has these periods where you kind of get stuck in the 'Matrix'. It'l...

Only in self-defence, for food when I'm about to starve and to save the life of another. I make no distinctions between humans and animsl because humans are in my opinion nothing more but evolved apes.

That's my simple answer but the_spiral brings up many points to be taken into account.

I'm pretty clean myself. I do consume alcohol, am a tea-addict and smoke cigars but only as an indulgence. I did once try some mushrooms with ritual work but found that all I got from the ritual was just the shrooms messing with my head rather than any actual progress. I prefer to go clean into my w...

Very, very interesting and thanks for sharing! I am very deeply into Sumerian and Mesopotamian ritual. It really clicks with me and I understand what you mean by calling it both addictive and taxing. Before I even work with these entities I completely cleanse myself physically and psychically. I tak...

Fully agree with Count Zero. I know it's hard right now but do try and focus on the good memories. True immortality is being remembered. I had a same streak like yours last year and am still dealing with the fallout. It isn't easy but there are many things that can help you get through the mourning ...
