A Dark Song - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4805316/ A women hires a shady occultist to re-enact the abramelin rituals. Awesome man! Thanks a lot. Ratings are pretty good on Rotten Tomatoes , I'm going to rent it right away. You have provided some very good material to this forum and I commend you fo...

Sounds interesting but has poor ratings. I wonder if the occult premise behind the movie was not well understood?

I want to pierce the secrets of the Universe. Know what the ancients knew, and give myself a solid advantage in life. Finding meaning and understanding about my reality, this world and the nexts through occult knowledge.

It was Joseph Campbell who said, ''Religion is misunderstood myth.''

In myths, there are truths. It's these kernels of truth found in religious texts that the serious occultist is interested in.

It's the '' defies the laws of physics '' that bugs me. Cox assumes that science has figured it all out. He's making the same mistake as some of his predecessors. He should reserve judgement, especially in the face of such tremendous documentation as the ghost phenomenon. But just because he cannot...

Hi, I am going to work soon on the graveyard shift and I wonder if there is any fellow occultists who are in the same situation? Re: What to do if you're dumb?

What's the point of having a strong will if you are too stupid to make something out of it? Let's say I want to become a french chef. But I'm too stupid to learn french. Then I'm just wasting my time. And would be better of working at mcdonalds. No one is ''too stupid'' to learn a language. It just...

Re: How to be an occultist without losing your mind

Quite simply, people should learn more about philosophy and science in general. A real occultist is a very curious person and will try to learn as much as possible as part of his quest for knowledge. A good starting point would be to pick up a book on philosophy that teaches critical thinking, logic...

But then what? Jumping directly into 'initiation into hermetics' or Regardie 'golden dawn' might be a bit advanced. There has to be some good middle ground. Hi,

We come from all over the world. Great if you can find someone from Stockport UK, but I wouldn't bank on it. It's an online occult community where people are sharing their practices here. [wink2] That being said, maybe there are groups meeting in your area?

It makes me wonder what sort of Demonologist they're seeking. I bet it's Christianity focused, with perhaps a touch of First Nation thrown in? They are basically looking for an occultist who knows about demonology and stuff. An adviser to which they can glean some useful informations for various ca...

A child of that age should be reading Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit ect. I don't see it as ethically correct to intentionally provide a child with occult books which might end up stumping his intellectual growth. I was fortunate enough to have discovered the wonders of science, ...

Here in Canada we had the Order of the Solar Temple (OTS) in the 90s built around Luc Jouret and Jospeh Di Membro as a self-proclaimed esoteric order which eventually degenerated into a crazy suicide cult. It made 74 victims. These people believed that their spirits would travel to a new planet and ...
