Re: Use of Salvia Divinorum etc.

I've been reading about salvia as well. As far as method of ingestion goes, you could soak the dried leaves (if you have dried leaves, that is, not an extract) in water and dispose of the water and chew the leaves after squeezing the excess water from them. A link with detailed instructions: http://...

I see. Yes, it makes sense when you think about it. Psychedelics as a tool or reconditioning, reprogramming.

Well, that goes on the list then. Thanks for enlightening me. :)

Re: Magick and the use of psychedelics, book recommendations

Aah, wonderful - thank so much. :)

Yes, I was considering Leary but I was wondering how it would fit into the subject of Magick.

But I think it's a good idea.

Magick and the use of psychedelics, book recommendations?

Hello, It's been a while, but I've been toying around with the idea of doing Magick or meditation under the influence of psychedelics. Anyone experienced with this? And what are the best books on this? I'll read anything related to this: be it books about shamanism, paganism, voodoo, hermeticism, et...

And this might be of use in keeping track of the esbats, sabbaths and moon phases in wicca. There's also an app, for your phone or tablet.

Oh, and I second Desecrated's book recommendation. I like Cunningham's 'Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.'

Re: Requests

Is there anyone that has pdf's of: - The book of tarot by Fred Gettings - Dictionary of tarot by Bill Butler They were references in Modern Magick. If anyone has any other good books with simple explanations of the Waite tarot cards, it would be appreciated as well! However, since the card explanati...

Re: Cinnamon, the good friend

Well, I have worked with the four (or, five, if you will) elements. Not really all that well, I suppose.. but I'm still studying everything at the moment. Anyway, you meditate on it's characteristics and meanings and form an image of the elemental that way in your mind? Communicate with it, befriend...

I've come across this, since I've been planning to study Crowley's work myself. It might help you make sense of where to start.

Re: Ritual drumming, inducing trance book recommendations?

Thanks!

Yes, simple is good. There should only be subtle changes in rhythm and pitch over time, for it to be effective for inducing trance. And longer than twenty minutes.

I read that in an article, but can't find it.

Well, hopefully someone knows a couple of good books on it.

Ritual drumming, inducing trance book recommendations?

Hello,

I haven't found anything really on ritual drumming and/or inducing a state of trance. Does anyone know of any good books (I prefer epub or pdf) on the subject?

Help would be much appreciated!

Blessed be.

Re: Hello!

What other realities? On the astral plane?

I'm thinking of getting a framedrum for inducing trance, you can get one inexpensive. I read they're the first drums ever made.

Do you play an instrument as well?

Hello!

I just registered, so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jerome, I live in the Netherlands and I've been interested in the occult since I discovered wicca at a young age. And I've been on again, off again reading some occult books on various subjects since. Anyway, I've started to get really...
