Re: Bardon study group, anyone?

Funny I had it in my head it was Bardonian but I guess then you would to be from a planet.

As for the NAP it seems like it would be a post IIH thing as the Bardon way is not to use/contact any well known beings until after all the lessons in the book are done.

Re: Bardon study group, anyone?

I think I have finally made it past step 1 but I am taking a break at step 2. The book MCTB made me realize how imperfect walking the path is. I will return to Bardon if the Monad directs me too.

You’re a Wizard, Harry! [Comic]

You know a came across this post and I laughed at it. Then I read the (non-peer reviewed) user comments. It's not funny , it is funny . I thought it was about [insert thing here] . I think there must be a lot of information stored in that little web comic. Do my fellow occultists here find this funn...

Re: Am I cursed?

You know a benefactor of this forum thought I was cursed and then I started to believe I was cursed. I went and got the agrimony and did the ritual. That was a few years ago.

I still feel cursed.

The second of the 3 characteristics of matter is suffering according to the Buddhists.

Re: Writing long posts - please back up your work

I would just like to relate my crazy way of doing it when I am in a hurry. Sometimes I have already clicked on submit and if it takes longer than 2 seconds I go into panic mode. I click in the text box while the browser is still throbbing press control-a and control-c so now if it screws up my post ...

Re: HowToObtain RandomBinaryData - Ideomotor Effect

This thread is getting bumpy and it is a non-trivial subject for those who don't know. What I said about the page about Pi binary strings and unicode are somewhat unrelated as I see you talking about font size and bold. I made a kind of pedantic post without really thinking about my audience. I thin...

Re: HowToObtain RandomBinaryData - Ideomotor Effect

There is not that much mystery to pi here. Pi is like a PRNG. Ever heard of the infinite monkeys with typewriters? It just so happens that the most relevant hit for random binary strings to a search engine would be from pi. As for making some fun software you could make an index table of all unicode...

Re: HowToObtain RandomBinaryData - Ideomotor Effect

OK that was 1 byte. Now try to get an html entity with only 2 bytes like with the 'r' symbol you posted about. I have a feeling either a prefix is needed or that decoder ignores 2-byte UTF-8.

Re: HowToObtain RandomBinaryData - Ideomotor Effect

I did this, but didn't understand that site, it did n't make translatable text either, but when I googled the strings I made,I got this: http://www.befria.nu/elias/pi/binpi.html Binary Pi, apparently. What does this mean? I'm quite curious. Where it says: "Binary" ... type your code into ...

extra fine tea filter and fat

Hi everybody! Something is driving me mad (not really). I asked an employee at a place that sells tea stuff to recommend a filter. I got the extra fine in cup filter because I wanted to filter rooibos and its really fine leaves. Now here's the weird part. She said not to use it on green tea because ...

Do I know that feeling. I found a name for it. Call it the "Dark Night" now. Kind of a catch-all for {psychic mine-fields} + {occult experiences}. The best part is when your psychiatrist makes a funny face when you say the word "occult" and then asks how to spell it while writing...

Hello everyone, I might be taking the wrong medication, which is a hassle. I've also put on some weight so that is probably not so positive right now. -DS Hey glad to have you back after so many months. I saw your PM. When I quit eating fast foods I lost 20 pounds. Then when I stopped seeing my psy...

If you decide to go on retreat, there is a center in Canada that I have heard about. I very much enjoy the YouTube videos of Yuttadhammo Bhikku, who is one of the monks at this center. http://www.sirimangalo.org/home Warm wishes. Looks good but right now the minimum retreat time for newcomers (plea...

Some of you may recall my "being blueBoy" thread. I think I should give an update about that too. Basically my gut tries to control my brain. Whatever goes on in my gut (maldigestion) it can make me feel depressed as the 2 things are interconnected. I have seen many health professionals (d...

But to my astonishment if I do meditation to samadhi and mindfulness together in a balanced fashion life is great. Maybe I should be mindful about what I mean by "life is great" [oh] When I say life is great it doesn't mean life is great. [confused2] If you read the book you will understa...

Re: meditation making me a bit nuts

I feel I should give an update. It's been almost 6 months since I started MCTB (mastering the core teachings of the buddha) by Daniel M. Ingram. I've finished finally. I took notes along the way. Best book I've ever read in my life. It is a little bit longer than the Book of Thoth for comparison. It...

I just finished the series, thanks Stuka, ya bombed me. I think this will stay with me forever as there are so many elements in this series that I relate to. I realize they have to add a plot device like ultra violence and paranoid governments to jazz it up. I actually had some insomnia but I guess ...

Magari - good find. I saw part 1 and 2. Kind of turns the universe upside down doesn't it? [grin2] In this view everything is a magnetic double taurus and replaces black holes, dark matter, dark energy, revises pulsar properties and explains the saturn rings and hexgon.

Re: Is LHC the greatest Ceremony ever?

I don't find any of this really amazing. All of those syncronicities are what I consider 'weak'. When the indians got membership at cern they sent over the statue. Also the collider is more like a donut than a tower. I could go on but if people want to have fun connecting the dots go ahead. To reall...
