Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

frakture - absolutely brilliant breakdown, I love how you're working intuitively - it's important to be able to read using the images as much as the meanings of the cards themselves, and intuitive reading will allow you to gain more confidence quickly as you will find you learn the meanings quicker ...

Re: Liber MMM Discussion - Discipline 4: Object Concentratio

Awesome everyone, going good. No, it doesn't have to be a toy, but it's best if it has no emotional connection to you, so no presents or anything that reminds you of friends and family. When I focus on this discipline I have a glass chess pawn I found - it doesn't mean anything to me, it's just a cl...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

Excellent, really well done guys - I'm very impressed [thumbup] Now, please continue the tale through the four worlds of the Kabbalah, which is what each of the suits represents. Lets start with Atziluth – the world of the archetypes, or the spirit, the lion, the star sign Leo, and the element of fi...

Re: Creating a sigil

Make sure you don't give servitors too much of your own energy for too long, or try to run too many servitors at once. Each expenditure of energy will cost you in the long run - when you kill your servitor, when it has performed its task, remember to envision the life force of the servitor returning...

Re: Creating a sigil

Be careful not to give your sigil too much energy when you charge it or you will also give it a personality, and that will make getting rid of it a bit like drowning a kitten, and you really dont want that, it isnt fair to either you or your servitor. Sigil formed servitors have to be considered sim...

Liber MMM Discussion - Discipline 4: Object Concentration

Okay everyone, lets start doing some magick. For this exercise you will need a 'widget', which is basically just a throw away toy that has no significance in your life, something you personally place no value in, nor are connected with in any way, emotionally or historically. I have found that the b...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

Okay, so now we should have the following. 1. 22 Major arcana - this is the Fool to the World, or the Magician to the Fool, depending on what sort of tarot deck you have, though I'm guessing unless you have a perverse interest in very old pre-Rider Waite decks the major arcana will start with the Fo...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

So yes, treat this exercise a bit like going to sleep - you don't lie in bed forcing your mind to sleep or you will simply end up with a mind that constantly seeks confirmation as to whether it is awake or asleep, much in the same way people are finding themselves thinking about not thinking. Instea...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

Stop trying to achieve this - you can't. Instead, simply let go of everything and fall. This isn't a pinnacle of success, this is the point you cease to strive and instead recognise that the sum of your achievements isn't what you have gained, but what you have been able to leave behind.

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

I just thought of what it is you're looking for - you're looking for 'the gap'. You know when you're just about to have an orgasm and your mind just goes 'eeeeeek' as the moment stretches, and youre not so much thinking and simply experiencing the moment? Well, thats it - the gap that unites those t...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

A wise monk was once asked by a health show what the most important secret to meditation was. The monk replied that the most important secret was that there were no secrets, no levels of mastery - meditation wasn't something you gained skill in, as skill suggested practice, and practice created dogm...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

Starting to feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends and in the middle lately - not just with occult work but with the job, martial arts, and I'm thinking I might need to just take some pointers as this goes on rather than try to pack 20 pounds of a crap in a ten pound bag; my usual 15 is gett...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

I have the Deviant Moon Deck. I chose it because of your advice (Clockwork_Ghost) you said this one, the Night Sun and the tarot Illuminati were good choices. Of these, the Deviant Moon artwork is the more appealing to me. It's a bit melancholic but it kinda has a cartoon vibe to it, and i'm a bit ...

We are going to charge it through gnosis, which requires that you can obtain no-mind. Once you have achieved a couple of seconds no-mind then we will go on to charging the sigil.

How's everyone going at getting decks? Serenaisa22, best to use the Thoth deck, Osho-Zen is more an oracle deck than a tarot deck. I'm going to start this module next week.

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 3: Not Thinking

How's everyone doing? Don't give up - keep focusing on stillness, breathing, then no mind. Very soon we start in on visualisations, which will blow your mind when you start pulling them off - they're basically self created conscious hallucinations [thumbup]

Get the Deviant Moon if you want a tarot deck that will serve you for divinatory purposes or the Night Sun if you want a deck you can use in conjunction with magick ritual work.

STUDENTS: PLEASE READ

Hi there, I'm going to be coming and going a bit over the next few months - I'm working on producing a tarot deck, my own business is sucking up my time a bit more, and I need to sort a few things out in my personal life. This doesn't mean I'm abandoning anyone though - I am dedicated to being your ...
