Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

My second card was - Hanging man - reversed. What I saw from that is - habit, stubbornness and ego that defy intuition - which is pointing toward the first card. Speaking of "inner voice", right? :) Absolutely perfect :) This is what tarot is ultimately all about, linking cards to make a ...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing

How are we going with this? Anyone still keeping up a daily practice? I know I am - I just finished another magick journal and had to pick up a new one this morning. This doesn't take much effort, and just half an hour a day tops - adding it to your morning routine, or using it as a way to relax and...

Re: Proxies, throwaways... etc.

Why don't you ask that member through PM if you find them using proxies? Don't worry, we definitely will - we don't ban people without giving them ample chance to explain themselves, and like Nahemah says, if they have a valid reason for using a proxy account then that isn't a problem. The primary ...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

Afterwards, I die shortly after the beginning of a great war. I meet temperance and the wheel of fortune. So you find peace and reincarnate? In the next life, I'm supposed to play as another girl, with the far higher numbers on the cups, pentacles and wands drawn. The empress card appears during he...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

You want me to report my reading of the second card or this should be just for my understanding of the first card? Up to you - if you wish to share the second card then feel free - often when you draw a second card for clarity its hard to explain it to others, it will just clarify thoughts you alre...

Re: Is synchronicity explained in occult literature?

Sometimes I don't think synchronicity is real at all. It's actually compatibility, and good team work between two instances. Yet they're so rare in everyday life that you'd think it's a matter of chance. And that makes no sense, yet we're all .. a bunch of people, in existence by chance, hurtling t...

Re: Is synchronicity explained in occult literature?

@Clockwork_Ghost Synchonicity is happening in your life at all times. It's just a matter of how open your perception is to it, and whether or not you're blocking the information out as garbage. It's more the "happy coincidence." Don't be an overt pseudo-philosopher here. That definition y...

Re: Is synchronicity explained in occult literature?

Would you please elaborate a bit more. Isn't looking at the clock a random act? It definitely can be, but I know that I always seem to look at the clock around 5pm out of habit because thats when I can say I've finished work. I work by myself, so don't have other people reminding me its almost home...

Re: Creatures & Lore

If you want an interesting 18th century view, you could check out the works of Carl con Linné, better known as Carl Linnaeus, who compiled quite an impressive glossary of mythical creatures. He didnt believe in Pelicans though, or certain species of frog, but he was quite confident that the satyr, t...

Re: Is synchronicity explained in occult literature?

One strange synchronicity that happens to me very often (almost everyday) is when I take my life into control plan what to do everyday for a week ,and so on, then any time I look at the clock it's a number like 11:11 12:12 13:13 etc. But what is synchronicity exactly is hard to say. In my belief ev...

Re: Is synchronicity explained in occult literature?

I'd say Carl Jung himself is pretty occult, the occult isn't always magick based, it can often just be ideas that were never mainstream. So... lets quickly explore synchronicity... For an event to have no causal relationship with any preceding event then it needs to happen both purely by coincidence...

Concept of going for a walk is still a concept. That's the example, everything is a concept in every variation and every grouping. So you're saying that knowing that it is possible to go for a walk, ie understanding the concept, is as good as actually going for a walk? And then youre applying it to...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

Looking at this card and relating it with it's name in a way that you described, I would honestly say that is directed towards me - "take on or become the aspect of yourself that that card represents". Thats absolutely brilliant - well read. Now, maybe consider drawing a second card as wh...

Lenormand cartomancy

..okay, so the primary difference between Lenormand cards and Tarot is that Lenormand cards don't have all the associated mysticism that tarot cards tend to have - no numerology, or astrological correspondences or anything. Lenormand cards are a bit like a mix between tarot and oracle cards, and wer...

Okay, hold the brakes. You are going from one extreme to another extreme. You are at least 2 years to early to try evocations and 5 years to early to deal with people like Koettings. You need to start from the beginning and work your way up. Truer words were never spoken. Everyone has to be a newbi...

Hiya, I had a look through the existing threads on tattoos, but couldn't find one on generically occult themed tattoos, so I thought I'd start one. Re: Could a repeat of the "fall of the Roman Empire" happen?

Okay, basically there isn't much to add to this discussion as Nahemah has pretty much tied it up, but one thing to remember is that empires and cultures don't tend to 'fall' as much as decline, unless you're speaking of genocidal conquest where an enemy is completely wiped out, and even then element...

Re: Three places - How to Read Tarot

The way I read tarot, the court cards tend to represent people who are either in your life now, are will come into your life in the near future. If the card appears as the first card drawn in a spread it can also mean that you have to take on or become the aspect of yourself that that card represent...

Re: All of MY Quotes(Let me know which help the most)

From reading these, it would appear that you have a very one-sided view of magick, especially as youre still trapped in the false dichotomy of good vs evil. Much in the same way that someone cripples themselves by being just one path, and one path alone, with no interest in improving upon that path,...
