Re: What's going on out there?! - A memo about the real worl

I personally believe these lot are basically a thorn in the side of true occultism and the pursuit towards truth. This, so much this. I get really uncomfortable with people who are clearly "out there". I can take a lot of insane theories but when those theories are easily debunked yet the...

With the plethora of blogs around on the internet it's nice to find something like this. Most of the blogs out there are "oh gods click away!" [rofl]

Yup that's how I see it too. I'm also a bit fluid in the gender-department as I have XXY-chromosomes (non-Klinefelter). I'm awesome that way. [cool2]

Re: New here and have questions

Welcome to the forums Mordridius! The High Magick books by Ralph Tegtmeier AKA Frater U.D. are pretty accessible. Just start with the first one; High Magick: Theory and Practice. You might need to Google a few concepts here and there if you are a true beginner but it's worth it for the no-frills, no...

That's what I was also thinking. I'm also only familiar with Jewish Kabbalah and I don't know if the problem is what others have mentioned or if it's another form of Kabbalah as I have read people mentioning Jesus and Mary in the tree of life which is foreign to me ( not to say anyone or way is rig...

Re: What counts as real "progress"?

Nobody can tell you that except for yourself. It's never fair to yourself if you start comparing with others or make some sort of time-table to "beat". You just can't rush these things. Everybody has his or her talents and/or innate abilities, some more than others, but through hard work a...

Re: Ritual Phenomena

I'm only familiar with Jewish Kabbalah and in particular Lubavitch and Vishnitz Hasidism but all I get is Sefer Yetzirah which is the Book of Creation. And Benei Ha-Elohim which are the Sons of God. The problem is so many weird versions and things based on Kabbalah exist I'm not certain what the hec...

Re: Some Rambling Thoughts

Ugh failing wi-fi ate my post. In short; yes lucid dreaming does help me but only after conventional therapies for the biggest traumas I had suffered. Before I had done that it was far too easy to use it as an escape rather than a tool for advancement. Neko-phyte is right in calling it a double-edge...

Re: My first encounter with a witch

Great story, reminds me of somebody I know. I have a friend like this and I purposefully stay out of contact with he for long periods. Cool-down periods. I'm quite a sucker for romance and fall in love easily which, combined with her energy, could actually happen despite knowing it'll never work. Kn...

Welcome back.

On an unrelated note; if you think soy milk is bad try those special porridges my mum always eats. Supposed to be healthy but they taste like soap and banish your bowels to the toilet in 5 minutes flat.

Re: The Buddha came to me in a dream and told me something.

I remember lots of chats when I was a child but nowadays I only tend to get stupid stuff like 'go eat pizza tonight'. Never any deep thoughts or nice cryptic references I can check out. I seriously doubt these are entities to begin with and more fragments of my own mind that shout back at me. C. Jun...

Even in my darkest times, I wouldn't dare think of hurting true innocence. Though I am morbid and I trivialize death, I wouldn't harm animals nor young children. These are laws woven into my brain. Neither would I. I see it as an easy way out, we are all perfectly capable of raising the neccesary e...

Re: Help me get right the entities names please

Some say this was a mistranslation and refers to the fall of a glorious king. That article is correct, there are a lot of mistranslations in the Septuagint from which all Christian writings originate concerning the Old Testament. I was raised Catholic but I am actually of Jewish/Persian/German desc...

Re: Help me get right the entities names please

Difficult to answer as it really depends on the mythology. The Jewish religion does not believe in fallen angels or anti-deities so Shaitan there is only 'the accuser'. An angel still very much working for god. Lilith (note the comparison with the much older Lilitu) cannot be found in the Torah (the...

I was reading the full scientific report yesterday and I smiled all the way through. I do think that science is catching up with magic. A friend of mine studies there and he's coming over tonight so we're certain to have an interesting conversation! He: 'Have you read it?!' Me: 'I told you so...' [r...

And there's your lesson in all of this. To have more faith in your own abilities. Pretty positive if you ask me and indeed as important as you had divined earlier.
Follow your intuition.

Re: What does your name mean?

How did I miss this thread? Well Erebus is the son of Chaos in mythology so there's that. Also, the literal meaning of the name is "darkness". Whilst negative for most people I see darkness as a time of revelation rather than obscuration. And it also happens to be the name of two fictional...

Hmmm not my personal belief as I feel All is actually Chaos (it was the universe's original state) but certainly an interesting theory. I do fully agree on the Chaoskampf; the eternal struggle between Chaos and Order. Thanks for sharing this Napoli! There are a lot of theories out there I find inter...

Reminds me of "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." In my humble opinion the magical is everywhere if we just know how to look so maybe it is science simply using the magical here... [smile2]

Re: Some Rambling Thoughts

I've been working on releasing some of this via Neuro-Emotional Technique (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuro_Emotional_Technique) and it's been working. Talking it out with counsellors did help to a point, but eventually I unearthed rifts separating understanding, which couldn't be crossed. Might...
