Re: Interpreting this pendant
That post was very helpful Nehamah, Well here's my interpretation, but it is still sketchy. I am thinking its a reprensentation of Plato's myth of the cave. The smaller set of spirals on the left is the fire that illuminates most of the caves back wall. The slightly larger set of spirals on the righ...

Welcome Amaryss
Unfortunately I have never studied Zoroastrianism. I think mostly because it has been labeled a monotheistic religion, (whether it really is, I don't truly know. ) I am very much the same way as you in terms of spending many years filling myself up on knowledge.

In Nursing a ringing in the ears is a sign of ototoxicity, high levels of certain medications that damage the eighth cranial nerve. The voices thing is something completely different from the temporal lobe of the brain. Inducing a state of hearing voices is truly a topic of discussion. Focused aware...

Re: a spell to make people like me?
I am thinking you should change your focus to understanding people. Empathetic-driven action is what will get people to like you. Ask yourself what kinds of people would you want to be liked by. Empathy is a major component of magic.

Re: Mind Over Matter
Can you give me some examples? I haven't found any western equivalent for the Chinese words De and Dao. Li is rationality, and Qi is emotionality. What words would you use to describe these words in the Western Occult tradition? i think of Qi as the energy that constructs the spirit world. I'll list...

Re: Mind Over Matter
No I've never read Castenada, the two sutras I mentioned use a very interesting technique. They push the mind to imagine things, then they suddenly do a sort of freeze-frame action where it stops and focuses your attention on what just happened to your mind. The insight into how the mind works is in...

A California Joke
I just thought up this joke, I told it to a few people , and they thought it was hilarious. The problem is that if you don't live in California you probably won't get it. Maybe there are other places in world that has a similar problem though. OK here it goes: A police officer was in doughnut shop l...

@W.M. How do you define "religious"? Religion to me is just a conceptual meme. Ideas have to come from some where. When ideas originate in yourself I think that is a wonderful thing, I'm not sure how common it is.

My suggestion at this point is try not to be so symmetrical , limit your symbols to about 30, use dots and marks to denote variations of something.

Applying Latin Grammar to Runes
Much of the difficulty of casting runes, is knowing which Latin case it should be, or in other words is the rune concept addressing the subject (nominative), a possessive (accusative), indirect object (genitive), the object (dative) , or if you____ then this will happen to you (subjunctive). I have ...
