Re: Orgone/Orgonite in Magick

I experimented with this, made my own versions of 'pyramids' using what I had around at home. I tapped into energy right enough, but I think it was telluric current related, rather than this 'Odic force' thingy. Copper conducts really well, so I used copper shavings and wire [in a maltese cross styl...

Re: Sometimes I can't see names?

Did I do it again? Yeh, I did, lol. Oops, I've lost count of the times I've said the script is Malachim when it's actually Theban, there are several previous threads where I've done that too. [blush] [rolleyes] My apologies. Omniglot is good for explaining this and other scripts... http://www.omnigl...

Re: Best book on Egyptian Hieroglyphs?

Good call on Gardiner. I meant this book would be a good companion text along with other sources, but didn't say so in my post or specify any, so yep, headclunk from me on that one. I don't mind working with secondary translations, though, especially from a quality source like this, it's a good tran...

Re: What defines Modern Era Magicks?

The era is in the title as 'Modern Magick' is the title of a book by Donald Kraig and thus we didn't feel right in using that as a title. The magicks, is to show plurality, as there is more than one paradigm involved. Basically this is for the 20th Century and onwards, Chaos magick and other recentl...

Re: New: What do you look like?

I don't have any recent pics that I can show here, unless I photo-shop out other people. I'll get some during the festive season and put one up here soon, I promise. I'm not at all offended or put out either, this is a fun thread as Spiral says and I don't bite, most of the time. [wink2] It's rather ...

This is the old photo, my cat Jezebel was assisting in taking the pic. I have a rather lovely rash on my bonce, as I'm nickel allergic and we used clippers on my hair.

I'l go find a more recent pic now.

Re: Sometimes I can't see names?

That's the archive, it's listed that way as those threads are from the old Occult Forum.com site. The OF forum was a treasure trove of valuable information and the owner here was given the opportunity to keep the archive when the original OF finally closed down. Vashta who is the site owner here, my...

Locked pending further action. A slight rewording of Nazi propaganda does not make it into something else, as it is impossible to make a silk purse out of utter shite, no matter how much or how little effort may go into the attempt. We do not tolerate hate speech here, however the benefit of doubt i...

Re: New: What do you look like?

I'll need to repost my old pic, I didn't attach it properly, so it's lost. I have a full head of hair back now, so prolly need to post an update too. I don't have a lot of photos of me, as I hate getting pics taken, will need to sift through to see if any are decent as I usually am drunk in pics, as...

We have the learning resources folder, which has lots of threads with books, online sites and other sources. Yep, it's a rank thing, but it's more an affectation than anything else as we only have member, moderator, benefactor and admin titles, instead of post count related ones like you see on other forums.

Re: Site colors

I reinstated the original skin as the default. Thanks for pointing this out, as the white skin should never have been made the default, it was poorly designed and the avatar display is faulty. I will be checking all the settings and displays here very soon, in case there are any more unauthorised se...

Re: Site colors

We have an alternative forum skin that is bright white, but it shouldn't be the default. I think this may be why your forum skin colour has changed,so I'll go check it out and get back to you soon. You can change it back to the main colour scheme in the user control panel, in the preference section,...

Re: Sometimes I can't see names?

Could be several things. If it's an archive thread, the original poster doesn't appear ' in the right place', but they are credited for authorship in their post. If it's the language under the Avatar, that's Malachim and it's a user title. Or it could be a problem I haven't seen yet, so can you link...

There is an upgrade for the feature, which enables friends list activity more than currently availability/ uses here, but I am not sure if/ how we can use it as our security is configured in a complex way, so I will need to ask Vashta about this. ProTip: Using the Draft Feature to Save or Edit Posts!

HOW TO USE THE DRAFT FEATURE ON THE FORUM Posts can be saved into your User Control Panel, so that you can edit or change content, if you want to, before submitting it to the topic. We have a narrow edit window time and this feature is very useful to people like me who can't type well and need to sp...
