Re: Farewell
Wow thanks for publicly announcing I privately reported a post. Guess I'll just publicly tell him he's acting like a dick next time and avoid looking like a tattle tale for trying to not be confrontational in your classroom. So, what exactly did you report, if you don't mind letting me know? Either...

Farewell
Cam Revillot has been removed from the group after making threats to conduct anti-social behaviour within the school. He took offense at his views being questioned by another member, and then became angry when I asked that people accept that other people have views different to their own. This is a...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing
Yes, because I was misled with this info. I practiced diaphramatic breathing thinking that I shouldn't feel muscle tension in the upper torso effectively limiting my breath. Vertical and horizontal breathing are a great visual cues to how can one breathe and with the support of the horizontal breat...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing
But I must interfere, and say that they are wrong. Vjetruša explained another technique that may deliver even better results. ... Maybe we each took something different away from the article then. The way I read it is that deep abdominal breathing, diaphramatic breathing , is better than the shallo...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
Not a lot of me time today so I just did 15 minutes around a lot of distractions. Was not able to stay perfectly still as I swallowed like 4 times. Better than missing practice.

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
Motionless for 17 minutes today before a thumb twitch did me in. My mind did wander a bit, but only a bit before I focused back on passively observing my own motionless body. No long trains of thought. The best position I have found for this so far is sitting, legs folded but not lotus, hands on kne...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 2: Breathing
Food for thought re: breathing technique Congratulations: Chances are that if you're reading this, and you're not a ghost, you've managed to figure out breathing. On the other hand, chances are you're also doing it wrong. Take a deep breath right now. We'll wait. If you're anything like most people,...

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
I just practiced again today (sitting legs folded, eyes closed) without the intent to stop at 15. Made it to 25 minutes motionless before i finally decided to swallow and get back to work.

Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
Today I started using a talking stopwatch app, which is great for not losing all sense of time during motionlessness. It announces the elapsed time every 30 sec. Went 7.45 minutes sitting, eyes closed, but snapped out of it when I drooled a bit from not swallowing (magick is so glamorous!) Tried aga...

They just need to write a mobile-friendly site. Forget outside APIs. Usually only causes more problems. http://www.macleans.ca/society/life/how-to-be-happy/ - This article is interesting and is applicable to what we're doing here - guy's theory is to set the goal of the habit very low and counter-intuitively *don't* increase the goal over time. Re: Liber MMM discussion - Discipline 1: Motionlessness
Just joined. Not sure if this is the right thread to post in as its been going so long. Feel free to delete if that's the case. Journal so far, before I found this place: Today is 12/01/15 I've been reading Liber Null a lot lately after having discovered it this past Thanksgiving morning. An article...

Question about motionlessness practice (Liber MMM pg14)
It specifically says to try not to blink. Should I be practicing with my eyes closed? That's the only way I know not to blink for 15 minutes. If the eyes are open but not moving that overlaps with later staring exercises. Just seemed a bit unrealistic so I thought maybe I was reading it too literall...

Maybe I just don't know enough about it but isn't the point how you interpret what you get? Not drawing the exact right card?

Re: Liber MMM?
Original post: zoink Hey all, I'm reading Liber NULL & Psychonaut again and was wondering what "Liber MMM", "Liber Lux", "Liber Nox", etc. means. The dictionary describes "liber" as "a book of records (as of deeds or wills)". So what about the M...
