Relationship with Tarot

Post by chowderpope »

I'm basically a tarot newbie. I had a tarot deck several years ago and never quite connected with it, although I did have 1 or 2 interesting readings.

Just recently I picked up a Rider Waite deck and I've been doing readings every day. I feel that I have quickly connected with an intelligence behind it and am being given accurate, helpful information.

I have asked about past events in my life, current situations, and upcoming events, and feel that they have all been answered with an uncanny accuracy. It's like I'm having a coherent conversation with a being who loves and wants to help me.

I asked the intelligence to identify itself, and I got The Sun card.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I have been doing the LBRP nearly every day for the past few weeks. I asked it about the LBRP and got Death. I took that to represent my transition and the elimination of unwanted energies.

I just thought some of you may find that interesting. I wasn't expecting to meet a new friend when I bought these cards.

I think I understand what you mean.

I've been doing Tarot for a few years now and have created quite the connection with my deck (it's Crowley's Thoth deck). It's so strong that I don't even like other people using my cards. However, I never quite thought of it as just one entity for some reason, I always talk to them, not him/her.

The rider waite deck is partially created to connect the conscious with the subconscious. That intelligence that you are becoming aware of is your own.

I was going to answer basicaly the same.

It's your Higher Self, Inner Self, Most Conscious Self, "Your Spiritual Head" (Ori for us ATR)... I do beliueve that there are spirits that walk with us and communicate with us through tarot, or inspire us, but it is your own highr self who aligns you with the spiritual information flow. Plus the Sun card says about the same heeheh

In Qabalah the powers associated with the Sun, are located in the center
of the Hexagram, which is the center of the Kingdom of Yetzirah.
Also located in the middle of the middle pillar, which is the Sephirah
of Tiphareth.

The powers are:

The God: Jehova Aloah Va Daath

The Archangel: Raphael

The Legion of Angels: Malachim

And lower earthly Spirits associated with Assiah(Malkuth).

It is one thing to see these Names written, and quite another to
speak and vibrate them properly.

Oddly enough, this is my current Ritual.
