The japanese Kokkuri is nearly the same to ouija board.
But there is one pregnant different: you need for kokkuri a sprite!
The Kokkuri:
The ouija Board:
If you use an ouija board, the ghost will lead your hand, but if you use the kokkuri, the sprite will take the controle of your arm so you cant do anything if you are in trance!
The apprenticeship to an Shugen (so the users of kokkuri are called) needs more than 12 years. If you finished this apprenticeship, you need more then 25 years to commune to buddhas and gods also
the shugenja is the one of 2 kind of japanese shamans which can speak and hear to divinities. 1. Miko (most a old woman), 2. Shugen(ja) (mens which serve to the gods)
