I was wondering if anyone here in their travels have come across any information about older witch trials, specifically before the Burning Times of the 15th through 17th centuries. Seems like most of my searches turn up info on the Salem Witch Trials, as if that is the only trial out there, stuipid self-absorbed Americans [wink2], and a little bit about some of the trials in Europe during the Burning Times.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

AHHHHHHH....
Too much... too much, but great info will have to take some time and unpack it all...
Though in all honesty I am looking for even earlier case histories, but I am beginning to suspect that I will need to travel to the sources themselves to identify the information that I need...
Thanks Nahemah, great info...

Re: Witch trials of antiquity
I could sware I heard about witch trials in the 700's and maybe even the 300's, but I can't be sure unless I check. I know I read about the Romans going after magickal practitioners.
