There is certainly magick that works through scents and stimulating the olfactory senses, whether I'd call it perfume magick is another thing, though, lol. [thumbup]

First some science about how the sense of smell works:

The limbic system comprises a set of structures within the brain that are regarded by scientists as playing a major role in controlling mood, memory, behaviour and emotion. It is often regarded as being the old, or primitive, part of the brain, because these same structures were present within the brains of the very first mammals. Knowing this helps us to understand why smell plays such an important role in memory, mood and emotion.

Incense has been used to perfume temples and other holy places since time immemorial and many spices and resins commanded great prices in the times of Empire and until very recently too, some still command great price nowadays. Why is that,do you think?

Certain scents are very evocative and a lot of magickal work involves evocation and other rites where there are associations and correspondances, scent wise that go with particular ritual styles and Godforms/spirits.

So,basically,ark200,yes,there is such a thing as perfume magick. [grin]
