Fitting antlers on cats

Post by WildWise14 »

What god do you think would fit well with Bast? On the other hand, what goddess do you think would compliment Cernnunos? Why?

Thanks,

RSG

One of Bast's titles is 'The Eye of Ra'.Her association with Ra is an important one.

You already asked about Herne/Cernunos in another thread, why repeat the question in this one too? I 'm curious about that.

Okies, but it's there in the Witchcraft folder, link above.

I linked a list of Celtic deities for you there.Hope it helps.

I can post some more info about Bast for you later.

This is actually quite an interestuing question, because any god or goddess from any paradigm or pantheon related to the feline would also work well with Bast, plus any god or goddess related to the divine surrounding her zone of influence could be slotted into a multi-paradigmal system. One god you might want to look at is Tane Mahuta from the Maori pantheon. He's the god of the forest, but also of small creatures - a union between Tane Mahuta and Bast would be one of forestry, protection and sly deviousness I'm guessing - could be a very interesting combination for sure.
