There are two diffrent spiritual paths in the east. Cleaning chakras and opening chakras.
I recomend you read translantions of an original eastern books about yoga. Not fantasies western wannabe "Masters".
Good about are for example Sat chakra nirupana, The serpent power and similar translations by A. Avalon - John Woodroffe, or Shiva samhita and Gheradna samhita. Those books are free on net.
Or a good boo is The secret of the golden flower, Translantion by Richard Willhelm. Chinese Taoists spiritual alchemy. But, there is chakra Ajna called a "heavenly heart" an chakra Anahata a "fleshly heart".
No one chakra is blocked, but opening a chakra could take years of meditations about a one chakra only.
When a chakra is realy open, siddhis - spiritual powers hidden in - begin to work. Untill yogi do not obtain siddhis, chakra is not open.
