LOSS OF INNOCENCE

Fantasy is dying, the dreaming grows old
This our world, was it always this cold?
Raise your voice, let out your screams
It will not pierce their blissful dreams

Shadow beyond that of falling tears
I scream and yet, no one hears
Slipping away into black, cold despair
Sorrows hunting, leaving its lair

I realise now, I will never be free
Free from all that which pursue me
Depression that lasts for all time
What have I done, what is my crime?

The passing of time is what I mourn
Dark forested path, filled with thorn
Walking into oblivion, going insane
Free from fate, free from eternal pain
