I recently really liked Portishead - Machinegun after listening to it in a trailer for Metro Last Light

Metro Last Light...i've seen the trailer also..

[happyface] i heard that song on the radio and really swept me off my feet...i didh't know the artist...i found it from the lyrics....now..something i'm listening at this moment ...a Greek one...

Pilgrim-Alkinoos Ioannidis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZXrqYu5tsQ

I walk through mountains,i walk through seas
I love someone
Two prayers I hold and two offerings i keep
I walk and go

Someone said that love resides in a star
Tomorrow evening I'll be there
Someone said that love only for a moment holds
Tomorrow night it'll be too late

I'm talking to birds and singing to the trees
I love someone....
And when I sing,i speak prayers
I walk and go

Someone said that the road is the vein of fire
Oh my soul...always flow
Someone said that trip is only prayer
oh..my heart be alive for ever
Most people fight for the possible.
I fight for the impossible!

I actually don't listen to much new music, at least not very often. Besides that song I mentioned, the only real "new" thing I've listened to is Dead Mau5.

Don't have a link at the moment but I'm listening to Gramophonedzie - why don't you, which is an awesome take on a golden oldie by Peggy Lee, beautiful song. Also Yolanda B Cool ft. D-cup: we no speak americano, another take on a classic oldie. And for something a bit more contemporary B.O.B - Magic. Cheesy I know, but upbeat as hell and I can dance to it ^_^

Recently I've been drawn to glitchy music with heavy wobbly dirty bass. Something really powerful in it.

SSormany,

Wow, my son loves that. He is studying to to become a Physicist. I am proud of him but he drives me insane with that music.

Suicidal Dream - Silver Chair

Why? I've heard/sang this song in my dreams in the past 2 nights in a row...and have know several people fighting this very temptation (yet I've not been affected at all). Guess it is the advantage of being on my island.

Despite having a strong rock and metal background when it comes to music i have recently been listening to Buddy Holly.
I find the simplicity of the music and the rawness of his energy as helped me feel a lot more grounded, the more complicated or intricate the music the more complicated i can feel as is the case with all types of music. This may change soon, but there you have it, enjoy some off the classics from time to time, it can be of great benefit. [thumbup]

Diana Krall, possibly the girl in the other room. Due to poor record keeping I honestly don't know. [wink]

I find her music is good for banishing. Cry me a river and all that.
