So I can't be the only metal fan here can I?

I don't know if I can really be considered a metalhead anymore since I have such broader tastes now and do spend a lot my time listening to hip hop and especially grime (I know there's no grime fans here haha) but I still feel like a metalhead.

Anyway I'm mostly into death and black metal, I love Burzum, early Darkthrone, Beherit, Summoning, Deicide, Napalm Death (most of their stuff), Abigor just to name a few. I'm also into less extreme stuff like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Manilla Road, Witchfinder General etc.

So am I alone here or what? [eg]

I wouldn't call myself a metalhead anymore since my taste has diversified so much since then, but I still enjoy it on a regular basis.

Behemoth
Cradle of Filth
Darkthrone
Dimmu Borgir
Finntroll
Enslavement of Beauty
Kovenant
Ulver
etc.

You get the idea.

I'm sure you'll find lot of occultists are into metal, which makes sense since so much metal is either directly occult themed or integrates a lot of occult themes and imagery.

I love metal, as long as they dont do the whole demon voice screaming thing. Shit like Iron Maiden and Sabbath is about as metal as I get :p
Then again I'll listen to most anything, I tend to stick to Nu Metal though. My tasted vary on the mood. I like anything from alternative, metal, chicano rap, techno, industrial, rock, dark electro, pink floyd, simon and garfunkel, stevie nicks. I can literally listen to almost anything. No opera or (most) country though.

Nope, not alone!
But I'm hopeless, cant remember listening to anything else than black metal since that version of it was 'invented' here in Norway (yes, I'm old :P)..lately some folk/black metal, guess this is an improvement.

You forgot early Immortal and Mayhem ,)

I don't consider myself a metalhead per se but I do love listening to a very wide range of genres. For me, it's not the genre itself when it comes to recognising music, it's more the way the band or artist utilises the instruments and the lyrics, whether it's truthful or simply using a talent to acquire social status, financial status...

I listen to almost quite literally everything and have the need of expressing myself with different sounds during the day and even night, although when I'm writing I prefer silence in the environment, while my mind is perhaps playing a song that is in tune with the feeling or thought I'm writing about. It depends a lot on aspects I don't even understand. Silly in a sense. :)

I am thankful I've found people that influenced me with what I feel is the "right" and "good" music for me.

Thirty Seconds To Mars,
Linkin Park,
Muse,
Alice In Chains,
Depeche Mode,
Nine Inch Nails,
Jamiroquai,
Rammstein,
3OH!3,

I have a wider ranger, and I did put in bands I love because each express my feelings in times and space in different and unique ways. If you do not know them, Die Antwoord are pretty interesting and mysterious in my opinion. They're original and clever in their music and videos. I've got to know them pretty recently and I love their work. It's so outside the box.

Pity that genres such as thrash, power etc. are called metal. They're less "metallic" than punk rock :P

Here is some musik, group from germany called Rammstein, named after

an airbase where many innocent people were killed and not only there.....

Song is called Engel ( album Sehnsucht ) which means, Angel. Be always careful of many angels the song tells!

Metalheads represent!

I enjoy my metal music alot...

symphony X, Highlord, Iron Savior, Leave's Eyes, Hellowe'en, Black Sabbath (I admit, I'm more of a Dio years than Ozzy), Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, After Forever, Visions of Atlantis, In this Moment... basically anything with a good heavy yet deep tone, and preferably clean singing, although i still have a few bands I listen to with growling in it (eluvieti, Lamb of God, Human Abstract, and a few others) [thumbup]

I love metal in almost all his forms, an lately I have been playing stoner/desert rock with some of my friends. I have found that this music speaks to me more clearly that any other genre in metal. Got into doom lately and found that doom stoner combo breeds frighteningly awesome music.

So I want to share this with fellow metalheads. This is a great discovery for me and it is by far most fantastic doom/stoner band that I have heard. Also their album covers are rich in occult symbolism as well as songs.
And these guys also:

So many good bands mentioned here (I was even a member in one of those bands mentioned.... shhhh!!)

I have always loved metal, currently I am on a big doom kick (again), lots of Asunder and Corrupted coming out of the speakers.
