I read the Gavin Floor & Charles Martin edition of the Bhagavad Ghita and would recommend it as a very lucid and engaging translation.

Beyond that, you could check out ISKCON - I'd imagine they have sources for literature on their websites, and depending on where you live they might have a temple nearby.
"The path of the Sage is called
'The Path of Illumination'
he who gives himself to this path
is like a block of wood
that gives itself to the chisel-
cut by cut it is honed to perfection"

- DDJ, Verse 27

"It's still magic even if you know how it's done." - Terry Pratchett

A lot of the key texts have not been translated yet. Especially the big epic Mahābhārata.

"The P. Lal translation is a non-rhyming verse-by-verse rendering, and is the only edition in any language to include all slokas in all recensions of the work. Sixteen of the eighteen volumes are now available."

"A project to translate the full epic into English prose, translated by various hands, began to appear in 2005 from the Clay Sanskrit Library, published by New York University Press. The translation is based not on the Critical Edition but on the version known to the commentator Nīlakaṇṭha. Currently available are 15 volumes of the projected 32-volume edition."

So it seems like we will have to wait for a couple of more years.

O yeah. As these works gets published and researchers in the west gets access to them, we will also get more accurate textbooks about Hinduism, which will hopefully lead to even more translations and attentions to these works.

The next 10-20 years are going to be really interesting.
