movie recommendations?
i want to spend some of my free time watching movies, lately. so, recommend some to me with a reason as to why i should watch it + a short synopsis would be nice.
i'll watch pretty much anything (i don't really have a lot of free time) and i promise they'll go into my watch-list
in return, i recommend watching Melancholia (2006) starring kristen dunst and some other people. it's a pretty horrible movie but has enough occultsy things in it to make anyone from here who watches it go "oooh, that's hot".

You may have seen some or all of these:
If you liked Melancholia, than you might like armageddon with Bruce Willis.
I thought Vanilla Sky was really good, and has a decent running time of over two hours. It has Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz?, Cameron Diaz, and Kurt Russell in it.
The Angel Of Apocalypse channel on Youtube has some really good content. Natural disasters and other crazy shit going on in the world. Most Vids have a running time of 30 minutes.
My Synopsis: This is all really good stuff.

Re: movie recommendations?
I stumbled upon Interstellar a few weeks ago. It took me by surprise. It's one of the best film I've seen in a while. I absolutely loved the blend of science and metaphysics. The movie pushes us to wonder about who we really are, what's the purpose of the Universe and where exactly are we heading as a specie. The scenario takes place in a futuristic context where the earth is dying. A crew of astronauts attempts to travel through a wormhole, leaving their loved ones behind to search for a new world suitable for human life.
It's a beautiful story overall.

I posted in a hurry. I missed the last part. First you recommended it, and then said it was horrible. Anyways, Armageddon is better. The best part of Melancholia was at the end when the planet crashed into Earth.
I vote for Interstellar too, a friend that saw it at the theater recommended it, and I waited two months for it to come out on DVD.

Re: movie recommendations?
Watched it on Youtube for free yesterday. I had never heard of it before. This is an amazing film that I think any magician should watch. Do you have any other recommendation of 70's occult/psychedelic movies? I am (ashamedly) not familiar with this genre.Desecrated wrote:Simon the king of witches.

Dr Strange 1978, based on the comic book. I watched it a while ago, but had a hard time finding it. Might also be on YouTube by now though.
They are currently filming a 2016 version.

Dr Strange 2016....Loved it.
Plot and story a little bit thin but the depeictions of magic, the backgrounds, the whole.."feel" of the magical marvel universe..Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
