Poetry club

Post by Cerber »

The end is nigh. Never better time to look back at all your achievements, to your browser history and all the hate mail.
To ask your self: Did I do well? Did I do anything good at all? Was my existence carbon net positive or negative?..
What's that you say? It all was net negative all around, in every possible way?

Well that's great, then you must have lost of content to write some mediocre (at best) poetry, just because why not. I'll get the ball rolling.

My Ball
Look at my ball, my ball is amazing,
Every dog wants it, but they'll never get it.
I throw and I catch it, the whole world is rolling,
I run and I jump, and get my ball flying,

It rolls with the leaves and now I can't find it,
A tug on my leash and it's time to head home,
I bark and and I howl, but nobody cares,
I precious ball is gone and not coming back.
*sad puppy faces*
it even rhymes, at least once :P

While you all working on yours I already got another one.
....
Melancholy Pond

-Who are you now?
The last thought I cling to,
As I float here broken,
My light is fading.

-Who were you then?
When I wasn't here,
Lost and never be found,
In that timeless darkness.

-Who was I then?
When feral winds brought your scent,
From lives and worlds long gone,
For me to freeze and walk away.

-Who we'll be next?
When all is done and gone,
A dozen lifetimes later I hope,
One last chance, perhaps.
......

Still can't get it to rhyme, but I think rhyming is overrated anyway :P
You can cheat too, it's fine, we'll let anything slide.

I'm in, sort of; posting under The Pen and The Poet. I write lots of poetry. Something along the lines of writing like a poet, but don't even know it - lots of rhetoric.

That is some really old water from under some really old bridge.
I don't even know who is that guy, who wrote all those random things, while impersonating me.
