What is it?

Yes, physically it is a means to reproduce to further the species. But I assume there is more to it than that, ya?

What is it on a spiritual level, an energetic level, a magical level?

I'm not talking in a funny or obvious sense... but it a deeper, behind the scenes way. Anyone have opinions or insights?

What occult, energetic, spiritual reasons would cause a muted orgasm. This has happened to me, seemingly out of the blue and has been consistent for many weeks now. I'm more curious than worried by it. It is similar to a sneeze that winds you up and then disappears without the satisfaction of it's release.

Energetically speaking... it doesn't make it up my spine and out the top of my head. It disperses into nothing on it's way up like a balloon whose air is let out, even when I focus on it's direction.

Energetically, the orgasm can be viewed as a yang vortex energetic dynamic through which Yuan Qi is gathered from the parents and brings about a yin creative physical manifestation. All fetal development begins at Mingmen, which is the physical point from which all other organs grow. The act of sex itself can be seen in a variety of ways according to Chinese meds and such. The energetic value of it depends on the state of the practitioners. Ideally, sex is a union on the deepest levels of our physicality as well as energetically. Physically, it is our sole purpose. Energetically it can be used for a variety of both beneficial or destructive purposes. It is unfortunate that so many tend to gravitate toward the latter. These are just my thoughts and certainly not everything that can be said on the subject.

There can be several reasons for this. Does it occur around the same time each day? consider other factors such as stress, diet, fatigue, or simply that you may not be focusing mentally. You would be well advised to visit your acupuncturist in this regard. The problem is common and discussing it with him or her can help you narrow down some specifics and begin to treat them. Regular exercise often helps with this as well.

Assuming you're a man, the intensity of your orgasm is usually dependent upon the amount of semen you're ejaculating.

Increasing the pressure can increase the intensity.

Try not having sex or masturbating for 7 days. Eat food that promotes the production of semen.

So are you incapable of orgasm? Or is it that your orgasm is unsatisfactory?

I have orgasms, but they deflate. The usual reverse waterfall, the energy that had started at the root and shot up my spine... 'deflates' on its way up,.. like there is a hole in the column... and disperses before barely getting started.

The change came with no physical or mental change (that I can attribute). I feel fine and I'm not stressed. I have no problem achieving, the results have just changed, hence my wonder of the occult/energetic side.

This is a critical topic for me because I'm trying to figure out ways to weave sex drive, sexuality, and self-development together. I look at our world and so many of our problems come from not having sublimative or positive outlets for urges, sexuality seems like it's easily the most potent drive we have if not very close second or third. It makes me wonder - people have all kinds of advice on how a person can get their house in order on all kinds of psychological levels but any concrete up, down, etc. when it comes to the application of sexuality is a place where you seem to have utter silence out in the working/secular world, any kind of philosophic or humanistic mentoring material is dealing with veneer issues at best, and apparently the answer to this on the occult level is one that the mysteries are too concerned with the ramifications of teaching in more open forum.

Another thing I keep thinking about, particularly for those single on the Hermetic and wiccan/neopagan paths who want to use their sexuality and turn it inward, aren't there other ways of using it than on incubi/succubi? It's the most well known topic for course on these lines, just that I'm aware that it's the sexual version of curing boredom with athlete's foot.

Aren't there other kinds of paramours? Can't something akin to sexual tantra be used as a form of meditation for really drawing down the other worlds or finding ones self a tour-guide and teacher of preference on the inner planes? Part of why I bring this up is I started playing with this line of exploration before I even really understood what it was or what I was doing and it's exactly how I obtained most of my transcendental experiences. I can agree on this. From my experience, delaying orgasm has many benefits, whether it is more energy, clearer mind, or longer duration in bed. Altered states? Maybe one time, when I got into a no-mind state and lost consciousness of what was happening for few seconds.

But what I have read somewhere on the internet, it can be used for many different things (charging sigils, items, talismans, giving this energy to yourself etc.). Exploration starting point is to get rid of all the entertainment, be it your mind, magazines, videos, and observe meditatively (without judgement, thoughts) while you masturbate.
