Evocation

Post by Atzmuth »

What would you suggest for a beginer?
There is no Lucifer to folow, no God to obey
There is no Hell for punishment, no Heaven for reward
There are no Demons to fear, no Angels to listen
There is you and your fate
Wake up Alice
You are in Truthland.

Are you advanced enough in your practice to discern the difference? If you have to think about it, you aren't. There are many ways for a beginner to strengthen their magical practice and develop a relationship with the spirits before attempting evocation.

What paradigm are you working from?

I agree. I saw yourself posting ones or twice saying that you had little to none experience at all, Atzmuth. There is plenty of stuff around here under the prefix "beginner". Can't be so difficult to look for that and start with it. You are hanging around here for a while now, I thought you had enough wits to understand at least that much by now, for you are participating quite active in the discussions.

To smoothen the thread, i believe that the subject ( Evocation) is wrongly placed.

For a beginner, hum i can only share very humble advice without selling nothing.

First clear healthy living, then try to " focus" on a thought, idea for 2 mins. The Eastern teaching has this mentioned

many times. Also other teachings too of course. Then as a beginner I would suggest to manipulate your own

feelings being perhaps sad or happy. If you can master your feelings, you have an ablilty that money can not buy.

I must admit that I enjoy what Ramscha writes, not regarding to this thread. But you

did hit a sore spot with the question you gave.

What do you suggest?

Usually, the easiest way to begin, if it's not a gift that's already awakened within you, is with your Ancestors and your Beloved Dead.

Do you have any specific spirits in mind?

Spirits aren't toys.

I don't understand what you're trying to say above.

Not if you want to use it like a toy, no. You'll eventually get your ass kicked.

If you want to play then make a servitor.

What type of spirit do you want to talk to. Different types are contacted in different ways.

Atzmuth, have you ever considered creating a servitor? They can be quite fun, and don't involve anything too big or nasty. I've included a link to John Kreiter's method of creating them below.

http://www.johnkreiter.com/how-to-creat ... r-bidding/

If you want to get more into the whole business of servitors, here is a link to Phil Hine's thoughts on the subject, along with a more in depth view of their creation:

http://www.philhine.org.uk/writings/sp_evocsniff.html

Hope this helps [grin]

That one here is in my opinion the best literature to start with when going for servitors. Easy to understand, detailed and giving pros and cons.

The reviews seem to suggest that the reader requires some basic knowledge first, but it looks like a very good book to lead on to when you understand the key concepts. They've given it some very high scores, for sure! It's definitely gone on my wish-list; thanks Ramscha [thumbup]

I checked about servitors and it is easy to do and very effective. Do you guys use servitors in your real life frequently?

These servitors dont need a real skill right? It is like anyone can do it? Are these servitors really magic or just a method of relief?
