A.O. Spare [Exhibition and Launch]

Post by TheSeeker »

I know there are some Londonians, and even Englishers who live near train stations, here on the Forum.
I thought this might be of interest.
I know I'd be there if I were there. [geek2]

Da Wife and I could nip across The Pond for a pint and some art... [rolleyes] [razz]

Yeah, sorry - was with family and didn't get there until 2 - I've read some of Spare before - his poetry is cool, his art is excellent, but I find his actual magical writing practically impenetrable (no pun intended). Of course he doesn't do himself any favours by writing in that pseudo King James Bible style.

And from what I've seen, £35 is actually quite cheap for these kind of small publishing, short run books :-) But no, I didn't buy one - I'm sure it would look great on the shelf though :-)

I wish I could have made it,but alas,no spare pennies atm and London is quite far to go,for me,without forward planning. [bummed]

well it was nicely made, looked almost as if AOS had made it himself, but i have other things i would prioritise that money on as i'm doing up a house right now so all my cash is going on paint stripper and pine.

oh, and by the way:

Aye,awright, you fae the big country,lol...dinnae geez yer snash [ ...don't be extracting the urine]

I know,it's just the equivalent o' a wee dauner roun' [local jaunt/casual stroll] for you guys, but it's dear[expensive] on the train/plane and bloody horrific on the bus [for a smoker]...so forward planning is necessary.

[wink2] [greensmile]

I want go to Camden market [so bad] and go see the house I lived in as a sprog,so a visit is in order sometime soonish anyway.

It would be cool to see who is where ,UK wise, for a meet up also. So,Moth and Raudolfr, local for London?

Muloc posted a thread on this recently I think.I 'll go check it and post there.
