400 trees cut down!!!

I was watching the news tonight and they did a story on moving the space shuttle (can't remember which) to where it's going to be on display. It's really huge so they had to do a little modifying of the streets to get it there.
And this is where the story starts to piss me off. In order to move the thing through the street they had to cut down 400 trees!
WTF!!!
