Re: What does your name mean?
I'd get lost in fantasy world's a lot as a child but never thought I'd attain anything as mythical in real life. After discovering the occult and beginning to work with it, it ignited a flame of hope that I could achieve some sort of magickal reality - even if it's not exactly like my fictional books. So my name is basically just me trying to discover the truth behind the occult, studying every path I can in the short amount of time humans are given. Pretty self explanatory but that is the long winded version haha
Re: What does your name mean?
Hi, I'm new here as of today. Mine is a nickname. Nothing too deep about it but it is special to me.
Re: What does your name mean?
My name is a fusion of the initial of my surname and my name. My surname - Gbenenee - means a Giant, and Zyne is a play on Zina which means a star. That gives you something meaning a giant star.

Re: What does your name mean?
Mine is sort of a joke. I figured if I couldn't come up with something good, it might as well be memorably awful, in a sort of overdone, poorly fitting way.

I have the last name blades and I like dank.

For me it's the spelling to what I wanted to name my Servitor lol. So I figured why not.

It's an anagram for Corvus Corax (Common Raven) which are my spirit animals and long time friends. The numerology also matches my birth name's numerology.

Re: What does your name mean?
I've chosen this name, because this was the first forum I found, when I was looking for a good occult forum, after reading the Book of the Law. (Those who read it will understand.)
But I have also another name - Raimvdall Retsiela.
Raimvdall is in English alphabetic numerology same as the name of The Goddess Lilith.
And "Retsiela"? If you read it backwards, you get the name "Aleister", which Edward Alexander Crowley (aka. Aleister Crowley) chose, because of it's numerological value ("Aleister" = 666 in 6 languages including Chaldean).

Re: What does your name mean?
I chose this name because I have a fondness of the figure Hermes, Thoth and Hermes Trismegistus. Most of my practice currently is energy healing (if you don't in that I don't blame you for not taking the word of someone on the internet) and meditations. Caduceus is the healing rod of Hermes. When I surrender to completely altruistic motives I find I am more potent in my healing practice. It is as if I am just a tool for something greater.

Re: What does your name mean?
My user name is simply the name of the organization I represent. The name for the Order of the Serpent comes from the Northern Circumpolar Stars, specifically the massive constellation Draco, which never sets below the horizon. To the earliest human religions, these were seen as being free from the cycle of the moon, sun, planets, and even constellations and stars. Separate from the ebb and flow of Nature/”God”, those associated with the Imperishable Stars were free to permanently exist, to forge their own path free from such cycles. It was only later on that world religion began to dissolve into its current Solar form. The Order of the Serpent hopes to remanifest this ancient, Pre-Solar metaphysics in the modern day - within the 21st century.

Well the O.S. has been around for less than a year at this point. We've grown, opened a LHP specific forum which is going well, have put out the first of many newsletters with a second on the way, and provide a place for companionship in an individualistic paradigm. I, and I know the other two founders, are extremely proud of the O.S. thus far.Cerber wrote:Fascinating, how's it going so far?OrderoftheSerpent wrote: The Order of the Serpent hopes to remanifest this ancient, Pre-Solar metaphysics in the modern day - within the 21st century.

Vaporware is kind of a joke. I like to think I am humorous. Vaporware was coined somewhere around the 90's. If Hardware is standard computers and Wetware is cyborg type interfaces (Cyberpunk-esk), then Vaporware is when you invest a ton of money into a start up that sounds amazing, only to find out it was to good to be true. Aka it doesn't exist.
Aside from that, I have a strong affinity to computers and the digital world, and I am focused on merging technology and the occult. So in one sense Vaporware is a joke, but in another its like the spiritual/magickal side of a computer/occult fusion.

Re: What does your name mean?
My name is purely non descript, and as a newbie, was chosen so as I could identify any placing I made amongst all the threads. I have no idea how to return to areas of interest as yet, but joined the site not through knowledge, but through being protected and visited these past few years.
Some entity is watching over me and I was hoping to discover more. And conversely, some entity is visiting me in the night, and I was looking for some similarities. Thankyou all.

Seraphim Falls is a Western following a Confederate soldier's quest for vengeance on a Union soldier. It's a deliciously entertaining piece of garbage with some intriguing magically surreal elements. I chose the name because I have a weakness for beautiful place names, because the first supernatural apparition I remember encountering was a seraphim, and because the name is far removed from anything else I use on the Internet. There aren't too many people in my life privy to the depth and seriousness of my sorcerous interests and proclivities. I like it that way.

Bathtub as in bathtub crank or bathtub gin and alchemist as in spiritual practitioner of magickal chemistry
Re: What does your name mean?
I used to dabble in the craft back in college, and I've recently gotten back into it primarily from my girlfriend getting me hooked on Supernatural and me finding out that the writers have actually based a lot of their universe on actual occult fact and history. One of the first texts I picked up was a copy of Simon's 'Necronomicon'. While it does have some interesting facts, the book is primarily a farce, however the section on the Sumerian language was rather interesting. My favorite word? Akrabu which means "scorpion". Since I'm a Scorpio, this seemed like a good username to roll with. [cool]

Shemuel is the Hebrew version of my name, Samuel. Ben means son in Hebrew. Sabbatai refers to Sabbatai Zevi, a 17th century Jewish “false” messiah.

My name is taken from two things. Echidna (serpentine mother of monsters) and Keres, meaning "evil spirits".

Re: What does your name mean?
So once upon a time when I was looking for a new alias, I typed the name of a character I was playing on FurryMUCK into the Rearrangement Servant and "Egypt Urn Ash" was one of the better things that popped out. I was doing this in part because young me was a big fan of the work of Edward Gorey, and the gothness of finding an urn full of ashes in that other name made it impossible to pass up.
Another name that popped out of that has become the handle I use when I draw really over-the-top furry porn.
