New, looking for recommendations.

Post by SneakySam666 »

Hello. I'm somewhat new to all of this. Came here becuase it seems like there is a lot of good info. The only experience I have with his stuff is from what I've looked up online, nothing specific. If you have any book recommendations to help me get started that would be sweet.

What occult subjects in particular interest you? There are many areas of studies.

I would personally recommend:

The Occult by Colin Wilson

What is Occultism? by Dion Fortune

These a decent starters to get an overview of the occult, it's history and practices.

Yo [yay]
Illusion is the first of the pleasures.
The bomb of entropic chaos.
If some assholes levels a twelve gauge your way, you drain him, skin him and bash in his skull. Self-preservation is vital part of humanity after all. My favorite part, in fact
My mind is telling me NOOO but my BODY, MY BODY is telling me YEAS

What's your field of interest in particular? What are your goals for occult practice? Easier to make recommendations if we know that stuff :p
"The path of the Sage is called
'The Path of Illumination'
he who gives himself to this path
is like a block of wood
that gives itself to the chisel-
cut by cut it is honed to perfection"

- DDJ, Verse 27

"It's still magic even if you know how it's done." - Terry Pratchett

Thanks guys. The O9A is interesting to me. But I'm not really sure where to start, there's just so much. I'll read some of the things you suggested and get a better idea.
