What is your favorite mini-spell?

Post by Desecrated »

Do you have any favorite mini-spells?

My favorite is if a horse gets colic, you grab the horses tongue in one hand, spit in your other hand and then spit in the mouth of the horse. The spell goes:

fålen har nu flåget fått
Spotta i hand och spotta i mun
han ska få bot i samma stund.

In addition to the above link:

It's an Magical Formula from the magic of Incantation, where the spiritual energies of sounds and letters are organized in a particular way to cause a particular effect. All of the God Names of the Judeo-Christian influenced Western Tradition (YHVH, ADNI, etc) are Formulas, particularly in how they are used magically; a particular arrangement of Hebrew letters, where each letter has an individual magical force behind it. IAO is very old, but it was kept alive in part by the Gnostic Tradition. The Gnostic IAO is considered the Greek Tetragammaton, though it means other things to other schools of thought.

I'm particularly fond of IAO lately because I've been working with the Elder Futhark expression of it (Isa, Ansuz, and Othala) in Galdr. It has a very potent effect on consciousness.
