Why do you think the Law is Do What Thou Wilt?

Truth. Start with your hands, fingers, knees and toes, knees and toes! Senses, what is the common understanding of them? When what feels bad becomes what feels Good, its still True that it feels Good, or did something occur that caused it to feel Good, like a mental change. Was that brought on by something that was in line with the previous Good, or was it some kind of pain or choice that forced you to compromise? Would you have compromised if it hadnt happened? Do you think you should have compromised? Truth is subjective, but we all begin with a Truth that seemed True at first, and can imagine a perfect form of things., That is your Truth. When you find it, you ask "Do I think all people can agree on this being Good?" Then you have the vision of common Truth, regardless of where you ended up due to environment and bad choices and bad representations of what is Good.

Its not a "Law", let alone the "Law". If it were, there would be reprisal for breaking it. I would say its simply the healthiest route when the Thou is real, as opposed to a psychic fragment, imposing authority or conditioning pattern (program) running the show. The Desire nature is the subjective experience of the essence of the divine feminine. Just like the mental consciousness is the more male-like spirit essence (due to its radiating nature, while the feminine matrix is magnetic and draws in).

We know about enlightment of consciousness. That is being true to the essence of spirit. There is also integration of "sentience" or the desire nature, something usually fragmented in humans (the reason why esoteric potentcy is usually lacking, and why desire is so misunderstood and maligned). For me, the real "do as you want" is akin to "be yourself". If you are not yourself, or rather not living your self, then the wants may seem yours just because they act the part, but they may be imposed or fabricated by the psyche to mask fragmentation or even satisfy it. The experience of desire is always real, but the desire nature is not always free. Making it free (desire = will) is a task of healing and empowerment that parallels the enlightenment of consciousness.

It just means do what the universe or creator intended for you to do - so to speak. Exercising your 'true' will, whatever that might be. If you are really good at whatever you are doing then you may be, otherwise, probably not.

Because thelema is all about WILL.
and if you're not doing what you WILL to do, you're doing it wrong.
rather self-actualizing really.
