In the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram, you say 'yod nun resh yod' and they give the hebrew letters in order. when i look at the actual hebrew alphabet, nun is resh and resh is nun. So the ritual has you say nun when you write resh, and say resh when you write nun.

what am i missing?

What source are you using ?

The answer is very simple...

Obri / Hebrew , is read from right to left...

From what I see , the order is perfectly correct...

Just not the way you are reading it , from left to right...
