Differences between ceremonial, chaos and other types

Dear all,
I'd like to know the differences in objectives and type of practices (Theoretical vs. practical ) (strategic vs. tactical) between ceremonial magick, chaos magick, and hermeticism. Thanks.

It is not just you , I am singling out here...it is every modern lazy occultist who thinks
instant answers are at their fingertips , or they can ask for , or demand answers...
( like another one on this forum )

and phrase it so I can really understand you ?
I respect you , but I really struggle to even come close to hearing
what you are really trying to convey...and that is not fair to either

I fear you might be asking the impossible here. His reality is just too different.

There are numerous approaches to categorizing, grouping, and labeling magical practice methods and ideologies.
Personally, I rather like this short essay by Frater U.

I by no means think his summary is all encompassing, but it's a good primer.
although it is more focused on the actual mechanics of magic, rather than on differences in ritual style... so it may be a little footloose for some tastes at the ceremonial magic board.
