Where did I go wrong?

Hello all members at Occult Forums,

I have been attempting to get into Chaos Magick just recently and decided to purchase an hard copy of Practical Sigil Magick by Frater UD which is based on the Austin Osman Spare method.

After feeling like I had enough of the basics down to give it a go I used Sigilscribe online to work out my duplicate letter removal (I kept missing letters when I tried to do it mentally [clown] )

I didn't choose the result with the vowels taken out through, just the duplicate letters as per the books instructions.

This was my statement: IT IS MY WILL TO WIN THE TOP PRIZE ON A SCRATCH CARD TOMORROW.

I then drew something that allowed me to link every letter off one another which ended up like a toddlers drawing and not like the ones I see online but my art skills are not very good.

I then watched an adult film and at point of orgasm stared deeply into the sigil.

I then ran the paper under the tap and let the water dissolve the paper between my fingers and wash the paper pieces down the drain.

That evening whenever my mind wandered in that direction I quickly snapped to thinking of something else.

The following day I bought 3 scratch cards of different values and different top prizes and ....

DIDN'T WIN ANYTHING! [cry]

Was I living in a fantasy movie, was I expecting too much, some sort of Harry Potter magic?

I am not sure but the child in me wanted it to work so bad.

What did I do wrong? How can I improve?

You don't write "IT IS MY WILL TO WIN SOMETHING SOMETHING BLAH BLAH"

You write "HOW DID I GET SO RICH?"

Your statement (or question in my example) has to reflect your desire as a current reality, not a hope or wish for the future.

dont specify how the money gets to you. you dont decide that. you may want to add a clause that yourself and nobody you love is harmed as a means to get the money to you.

then you be patient and you wait. do not think about the work, keep your mind off it and just have faith that it has already worked.

I think where you went wrong was in insisting that it had to be THE TOP PRIZE and that it had to come TOMORROW. That doesn't really leave a lot of time for co-incidences to play out your way. Try again using the following statement of intent:

IT IS MY WILL TO WIN A FOUR FIGURE SUM ON A SCRATCHCARD WITHIN SIX WEEKS.

you can change it to a five figure sum if you want.

Create a sigil but also a mantra from this which you repeat as you stimulate your penis. Instead of watching porn use a vibrator as it provides arousal and orgasm without need for mental/visual sexual stimulation.

Charge the sigil once a day for seven days, or once a day for ten days. One off chargings are often not effective unless your an adept.

Report back in seven weeks time regardless of the result. You can still learn from failure.

It's notoriously hard to win the lottery because everyone else is also trying to do it.
Do more visualization exercises, so that the next time you charge your sigil, you can focus on it even harder.

I like to try and to 3-4 sigils at the time. So don't just ask for one thing, ask for a couple of different things. It's easier not to get to hocked on one idea then.

Also, try and meditate about what you will do with the money once you win them.

The only legitimate reason you would have won (should the universe have chosen to comply) would be to get you to continue to study the occult so that you begin to recognize what you are trying to do any why. The fact that you didnt win is easy to answer: God doesnt like personal greed.

I don't think that there are that many magickians trying to win the lottery so there wont be that much competition.

As for God/the universe not wanting you to win? With that attitude you'll never get anything material from magick so you might as well give up. God couldn't care less whether you win or not. He's got no issues with you.

Keep trying. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.

I remember hearing that by buying their tickets and feeling the joy that winning the lottery would bring them while visualizing what they would do with the money, people do kind of a smaller version of a magic ritual, I can't remember where from though.

My advice would be to not focus on wining the prize but what it will get you, I guess you don't want to win just for the sake of winning, you want money, you should get a spell going for money, or even what you want money for, if money is not your end goal. By giving a time and a place, you make it harder for the spell to work since magic likes to take the easy path to manifest. [wink]

Other than that , the only thing you will probably need is constant practice of visualisation and meditation.

If you are going to make vague comments like "something else is at play", could you please just go ahead and tell us what exactly is at play?
