Along time ago, in some book far, far away. I was reading about these twelve skulls from I believe the Mayan or Aztec cultures. The skulls are actaully made out of quartz which means that they would be filled with spiritual energy. There was even an episode of Star Gate SG1, which had one of the skulls. The thing I want to know is there by any chance someone here who knows more information about these skulls and what do people believe these skulls can do?

The legend is that the skulls will be collected together and placed in a certain temple in specific positions. The sunlight will hit the first skull and be refracted to hit each of the other skulls in turn and this will somehow release the 'spirits of the ancients'. Some people believe the skulls were used to store data on similar to how we use computers, and that the replacing of the skulls will open the files and reveal information about everything we ever wanted to know. It's a quite interesting myth and the skulls are beautiful. Off-hand I can't remember precisely but I think there are only two known to be genuine ancient skulls and several fakes.

i wonder if anyone ever tried to make replicas of the 13 skulls and tried to work out the mystery of the 13 skulls with sorcery/black magic?
