What if the story is all wrong? what if Osiris and Set were working together so that Osiris could be transformed? And after his "death" all the other gods misunderstood what was happening and just blew things out of proportion and railed against Set?

I don't know if this is the case with Set and Osiris, but it does remind me of a past life memory of mine. I saw myself get stabbed by my brother and found out later that he did it because I asked him to, so that I could be "honored in my next life". My life had apparently gotten off-track.
