Aleister Crowley spelled the word "magic" as "magick" for gematria (numerology) reasons. It's common today for Wiccans and new agers to say it's spelled differently to tell the difference between real magic and slight-of-hand stage magic. Frankly I find this silly because if you can't already tell the difference you probably shouldn't be practicing magic [lol]

Meh.I enjoy the affectations.

I spell it magick with the ck and I use it to differentiate between sleight of hand: magic

and sleight of mind: magick.

IMMV,of course and we could argue semantics fruitlessly all day, without recourse to any reasonably reasonable reason.Lol.

You decide your own preference,it dosn't really matter either way.

Magick or indeed magic, lol,is all a question of perception anyway.

Context is everything.

Colour me silly if you will, but the joke is on you if you do. [crazy]
