Your recommended Apps

Post by Haelos »

I'd like to know some of your guys' recommended apps for occulty-related things, in this crazy technology age we live in (Playing Age of Empires taught me crazy things about the future/present).

I don't have very many useful apps, mostly a few games, and news-related things. However, the best app useful for the occult that I have is Fast Notepad. It's a simple text note editor with quick-saving and extremely low storage use. It loads like lightning, and is perfect for keeping any study information on-hand.
I also have a fun app called NodeBeat, which any fan of music should get. It makes beautiful noise. Do with it what you Will.
Tricorder is pretty cool as well, although I'm not sure if anything actually works on it, or if it's all faked.

I'm looking to making my phone more than just a useless brick for playing video games on. Particularly, I'm interested in any apps that will make preparing times for rituals easier, but anything related to the occult (that's actually worth while) is worth checking out. Even if it isn't directly related to anything occult, if you use it to help your practice, I'm interested in hearing about it.

Thank you for anyone who shares your apps.
I need to point out that I'm not in any way limited by what apps I can use, whether by region-lock or root access. Price also isn't a big issue.

I'm going to add some of my own apps, since no one else has commented here.

These are all programs I've recently fallen in love with to some degree or another. I use them all very specifically, but most of these apps have a lot of general purposes as well that you can tinker with.

IF - The app for IFTTT. Allows you to connect to apps together and set automated commands for various things.

Deluxe Moon - An astrology and moon-cycle calculator for Android. It shows a huge amount of information that can be quite overwhelming, but pick anything to do with atrology and this app with help you figure out all you need to know.

utter! - Voice command with editable commands that can be integrated with Tasker to do just about anything ever. Better than any assistant program out there, but requries significant tweaking to get things fully automated.

Tasker - Android automation. Literally do everything on your phone without ever touching it.

Memotion - An app by utter!'s developer. Records clips of audio and uses algorithms to determine the emotional content of the speech.

Drawing Neon - A simple drawing app that is free, but add-supported. You can draw in several colors, and it makes a wonderful program for drawing pretty sigils.

NodeBeat - A paid music app. I cannot offer enough kind words for this app in my description. Look it up and see for yourself.

Dropbox - Does what dropbox does.

All of these apps are used on my phone in some specific practices of mine, along with adding the convenience of ease-of-use.

Magic Formulas. A neat little pocket tool for reference and ideas with rune magic.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... BodhiTimer

Bodhi Timer. A neat meditation and other stuff timer.

Thelema Magick. Perhaps one of the most interesting occult apps I've seen in a while. It includes access to a digital magical diary, a timer for exercises like pranayama, among other things.

Oh, and:

Fantastic, thank you for these. I'll be trying each one out, and while although rune magick is not my forte, that app is the one I'm most eager to try.

Not really an app, but if someone knows an app that can replace this website than I'll probably check it out.

Really handy for impromptu readings.
