Show us your rocks...

Post by Nahemah »

Here's a pic of some of my bits n pieces to start off with:

Image

I have various rocks, stones and crystals, some are quite rare, but others not so much, lol.

I'll need to take some decent pics later.

I'm not sure how to get this folder going,so this is more of a place holder post than anything else, atm. [thumbup]

[yay] Awesome!!!!

I would like to share some pics of mine too. Although I don't want to hi-jack your thread. Maybe we can have a thread for anyone to share thier rocks/crystals? Might be fun & informative if we post what they are & we use them personally.

Anyway, I love em! ♥

This is a Snoflake Obsidian stone that my brother had wire wrapped into a pendant for me. As you can see, it resembles the Universe...which is why he chose the stone for me. Strangely enough, the guys that sold him the stone & wire wrapped it, are the same guys I got my other stones from (a vendor in FL). We did not know this until after I received this as a gift for my 50th birthday.

It's comforting to know that your family knows who you are.... ♥

I have a lot of healing vibrations that come from this. I've channeled catalysts for the vibrations and the green seems to signify more magic in this crystal.

I just posted this picture in a thread of its own, but I thought I'd post it here, too. This is some pink stilbite that I've had for a long time (it appears pinker in person than it does in the picture). I find it has a very calming energy to it, and works well in assisting the opening of the heart chakra and movement of energy upward from there.

I must find my pink orb. Maybe somebody will tell me what it is. [smile]

This is about half of my collection. I've been collecting since I was 8. :) I can name 95% of them so if you'd like to know what something is, please ask!

I made this mala yesterday out of spare beads, Mother of Pearl and Obsidian. The pendant is Jasper I think, but it came off of a necklace that I got years ago so I can't remember precisely. Figured I might as well hold my hand open for the picture, so you can see my turquoise eternity ring there as well.

I bought all of these at the International Mineral and Stone convention in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. This convention is held twice a year, in March and Oktober. I bought these for decorational purposes. I'm open to believing that crystals contain powers, but I never felt better or worse from them.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Going from the first to the last picture:
1 Amber (yellow), with some insect bits just like we saw in Jurassic Park. (I saw a scorpion in amber once. It cost 50 euro. Too expensive for me.)
2 Amethist (purple), my all time favorite crystal. This piece is 7 cm.
3 Chalkantit (blue), I have no idea what the qualities of these pieces are. It was some sort of an impuls buy.
4 HoneyCalcite (yellow brown), well at least that is the Dutch name. These piece looks like when you put Icetea too long in the fridge. Really cool.
5 Silicium. (Silver)
6 Sulfur. (Yellow) Note that the right one is already decaying. The stone is slowly falling apart.
7 Tourmaline. Awesome black rocks.
8 More Amethist rocks. These are not far more rock like than crystal like, thus far cheaper. This only cost me 5 euro.
9 Coral necklace.
10 Agate piramid. Only 3 by 3 by 3 in hight. Cost me barely 3 euro's.
11 Pyrite cube (gold, but not gold), almost a perfect cube. This one is 2,8 by 2,8 by 2,8.
12 Septarian spheres. The yellow colored bit is crystal, the grey is stone. It's awesome to have spheres that almost 50/50 stone and crystal.)
13 More Touramline rocks, only less smooth than the other 2.

14 Strawberry. I'd like to stress out that this is not part of my collection. I made this picture at the International Mineral and Stone convention in Rijswijk, the Netherlands one in march 2015. Even though it has a stupid name Strawberry is awesome. It looks a red hollow sphere with candyfloss inside. This 1 was easily 20 cm in diameter and costs 200 euro.
