Selling Souls?

I have done lots of work with demons and so on and yet I don't understand how one could sell their soul. I only mean this in the sense of, what is the value of a soul to a deity really? Could someone explain to me how it all works? Thanks guys!

In the end of days the forces of good and evil will fight each others. the soul of deceased humans will be used as an army. The more soldier a demon has the higher is his rank in hell.

If you make that kind of pact, it means that while you live, the demon will serve you. And when you die, your soul will serve him in the underworld. How long the afterlife lasts depends on school of thought, and exactly what use he will have for you depends on his intentions.

But if all else fails, they can always eat you.

Demons are evil? I never met a bad one...and umm eww to the eating thing...

Souls are like your food be careful what you eat...

I always thought they are nice I mean I met one who said he was a demon and he was following me around because he found me interesting. He was like a teenager who just followed people around like a puppy. Kept talking to me with every word a mile a minute looking at me like I should understand everything he said. Haven't seen him in years but he was funny I mean try riding a bus with this guy...something to say about everything. Maybe he wasn't a demon? I tend to believe them till they prove other wise...

Never been asked for my soul before but I don't do pacts or deals to begin with. I trust entities and random demons as much as I trust a stranger on the street.

I don't like to think that anyone or anything is intrinsically evil. The pact thing never really seemed like anything evil to me, just a trade, and one meant primarily for desperate and talentless wanna-be magicians that have no other options. Those of us who can work with spirits directly don't need to make pacts, we can simply make friends and ask favors like with any other People. Many spirits can be mischievous and playful though, some more than others, so it's generally wise to carry around a certain caution and vigilance.

Anyway the way people talk about pacts in other groups it's like it's normal. I never did any because I didn't want to treat other beings like they are just a door in my path. I'm not judging anyone I just find it rude for me to do. If there is an exchange I'm not really aware of it I guess. Do they often just give off information in conversations? Is that normal or did I make an exchange? It can be magic to life to how was your day or a joke like any person. Is that an exchange I thought talking to spirits like that was normal but I don't want to make accidental pacts!!!

When we just talk to spirits and interact normally, we are simply talking to spirits and interacting normally, no differently than we would any other intelligent person. They can choose what information they share, they can lie, or they can simply befriend you and tell you the truth, along with numerous other circumstances. There are no accidental pacts involved in any of that.

There are many ways to work with spirits, daemon or otherwise.

lol thanks I was worried for a sec because pacts are really a new subject for me. I kinda just go with the flow and follow my gut or push it away completely.
