I'm hired (old news)

Post by wileychaote »

Well'p, last Sunday was my last day of training (technically) at Popeye's. I've been there about a week, but I've mostly just made sides.

The day of my interview was Saturday January 23rd, and it was a significant day because later I went with my mom to run some errands in my dream city (a very magical place indeed).

My first day was the next Monday and all went fairly smoothly, but I have had a few rough times already. They've really tested my patience, and shown me how much further I need to go in my occult practices.

Even though I haven't done any of the rituals, I can't help but attribute some of the success to Damon Brand's book The Magickal Job Seeker.

I went in, asked if they took in-store applications or just online, she told me to go online, I was about to leave to do just that when a gentleman called me back to the counter and said "come back Sat. morning for an interview." Sure enough, I was hired.

Anyways, one New Years' resolution complete. Just thought I'd share. :-\

Congratulations on the job. [yay]

I've only just heard of Damon Brand, through another recent topic.
"He lived his words, spoke his own actions and his story and the story of the world ran parallel."

Sartre speaking of Che Guevara.

Thanks a million Nahemah, I really appreciate it. [thumbup]
And he was a pretty good read. Simple but powerful is what I got from it.
