Inverted crucifix under my grandma's bed

Ok guys, I found an inverted crucifix under my grandma's bed, and she's been sick for the last 8 years or so, she started getting better last year but then on december she had an awful accident and has been getting worse
What could this be?
I know someone who might want to harm my grandma, but I need to be sure about what this means
Any thoughts?

Pretty sure it's a curse.

Put the cross in a paper bag.
Draw a big X on both sides.
Fill the bag with salt.
Tie it up with rope.
If you can bury it underground that is for the best, otherwise just throw it in the trash as far away from home as possible.

Add a bowl of clean cold water under the bed.
And a small bowl of Rosemary at the nightstand.

Sunlight, fresh air and plenty of clean water.
