Hello,
My name is Daniel. Thank you for the opportunity to join this community. I was searching for something else, and found this place instead. A happy-accident. I look forward to reading the content here and contributing if I have something relevant and meaningful to share. Lately I have been inspired by paradoxes and coincidences. So, "accidentally" finding this forum as a "happy-accident" tickles me in a very good way.
I have a naturally optimistic and outgoing personality. My inclination is to advocate for the underdog, taking the road less traveled, and looking for deeper hidden meaning in everything I encounter. However, I am not too proud to admit that these qualities can become faults in the wrong context or if applied in the extreme. I suppose this means, if I were a Dungeons and Dragons character I would be a neutral-good paladin.
In real life, I am an IT Systems Administrator. I've been doing this work for my entire adult life. I'm married with two children. I live in the Pacific Northwest in America. The rainy season has begun here. It will rain almost constantly for the next 9 months, but rarely strong storms. It's like living in a misty, sprinkling, rain forest. It always feels freshly showered. Many people complain about the grey here. But I love it. I look forward to it. It's usually cloudy, but when the sun breaks out... it's amazing. Everyone reacts strongly to it. There's an American TV show that did a parody about what it's like here when that happens. See below.
