I think that is the exact way to describe Scorpians, all the water sins for that matter, Its nice when someone can but things in a way so its easier to understand :O)
Mars in Scorpio is somewhat like the fire under the teapot -> When heated, the water boils and if there's no outlet for steam the pressure is raised until *PFOFF!!*... You get the picture?
This following is in brief my view on the three water signs:
- Cancer: (resting) pools of water, ie lakes, ponds, seas, oceans.
- Pisces: moisture pervading everything.
- Scorpio: the cyclic movements, streams and transformations of water -> as it is heated by the sun and raises as clouds, then falls as snow, turns to ice and melts to water in order to flow "back home to Cancer".
the fire within earth excerts pressure on earth (teutonic plates) which suddenly are released and *PFOFF!!* enormous masses of water are set in motion.)

My view on Mars differs a bit from Mauri's as I mainly see Mars' connections to death, (re)birth and sex as indirect consequences of martian impulsivity and aggression, whereas Pluto is directly connected to these subjects.

Ourobus/Scorpio connection is because of their mutual correspondence to death and rebirth (and also sex), in the same way as the Phoenix has similar connotations.

Some call the present "the Age of Aquarius", but this notion is imho a pathetic misunderstanding and mix-up between the tropical vs the sidereal zodiacs. Perhaps it is a comforting illusion for some....?
PS
btw, I'm a scorpion with moon, mars & neptune there too.
