Uncertain About Scorpio Sign

I think that is the exact way to describe Scorpians, all the water sins for that matter, Its nice when someone can but things in a way so its easier to understand :O)
Mars in Scorpio is somewhat like the fire under the teapot -> When heated, the water boils and if there's no outlet for steam the pressure is raised until *PFOFF!!*... You get the picture?

This following is in brief my view on the three water signs:

 • Cancer: (resting) pools of water, ie lakes, ponds, seas, oceans.
 • Pisces: moisture pervading everything.
 • Scorpio: the cyclic movements, streams and transformations of water -> as it is heated by the sun and raises as clouds, then falls as snow, turns to ice and melts to water in order to flow "back home to Cancer".
(Fire is able to set vast amounts of water in motion, like tsunamis (Which are possibly somewhat scorpionic in nature?):
the fire within earth excerts pressure on earth (teutonic plates) which suddenly are released and *PFOFF!!* enormous masses of water are set in motion.)

---
My view on Mars differs a bit from Mauri's as I mainly see Mars' connections to death, (re)birth and sex as indirect consequences of martian impulsivity and aggression, whereas Pluto is directly connected to these subjects.

---

Ourobus/Scorpio connection is because of their mutual correspondence to death and rebirth (and also sex), in the same way as the Phoenix has similar connotations.

---

Some call the present "the Age of Aquarius", but this notion is imho a pathetic misunderstanding and mix-up between the tropical vs the sidereal zodiacs. Perhaps it is a comforting illusion for some....?

PS
btw, I'm a scorpion with moon, mars & neptune there too.

I have son in scoripio, areis asc and pisceas moon.
Being scorpio can be really hard sometimes!!!
Deep intense emotion, soooo deep!!!!!!!
And also very misunderstood!!! we arent nasty people, mabey a bit blunt but not with the intent of hurting anyone!!!
How true - I often times find myself being overly blunt without any care for their feelings, only to realize that I had a lot of malice, but I dont apologize, because my philosophy in life is, "If they cant handle the truth, then they should get some more of it until they're immune. I have"

Which is another difficulty - maybe it's just me. I find myself "better" than people, and get upset when people arn't as good as me, and arn't like me. Or arnt' close at least.

Then you go and realize these downfalls, and think on them, and then something comes up, and you go off thewall again, and the cycle repeats.

If people can't handle the answer, then they should not ask the question. Ask a Scorpio a question;you'll get the truth as they see it.You may not like it,but if you wanted tact, you should say so.

If someone asks me a tricky question,I tend to say do you want truth or tact?

I suppose we can a bit blunt, but if someone asks our opinion (or a particularly stupid question) what else are we to do?

according to the pansies that follow political correctness, we should be kind, and gentle, and go hug trees. But they deserve to be shot. That's my opinion though, and you asked for it - even if it was hypothetical ;) :P

Go scorpio!

My daughter is a scorpio (25 Oct) and reading this has helped. Alot!
I am gemini with most of my planets in gemini so there is a problem with confrontation. For eg: I can talk her in circles, but she just beats me up, then lays traps.
Nice to know she isn't unique :p

oh no - she's unique. Dont think like that. She's just got her sign to help her out :D

But yeah - it's a scorpion trait. I like to get in to arguements so I can do that, too. It's fun :) Like the other night: I brought my tarot cards to church with me because I was too lazy to take them out of my coat pocket, so I almost wanted them to fall out of my coatso I could hold on arguement with evey Catholic there about the occult and Catholicism etc etc. But they didnt, so I didnt :D

Glad you understand your daughter more now.

quote Isyron:Im born on 21 Of November.
Really,what year if I may ask?Im on the 18th of November,with 4planets in Skorpio,including sun,moon,mercury and uranus.
How true - I often times find myself being overly blunt without any care for their feelings, only to realize that I had a lot of malice, but I dont apologize, because my philosophy in life is, "If they cant handle the truth, then they should get some more of it until they're immune. I have"
On these kind of situations I try to look from a 3rd perspective,it helps me do the right thing, without involving to much emotions, but with enouph self-criticisam to apologize when wrong. Concerning the truth I came to terms to relize that there is no final truth, and everyone has their own one,so who am I to tell them of it?The maximum I can do is smile even to the stupiest questions, and ask them a similar ones.It saves me so much energy, and time to analize my actions.Their truth is their thing.

Which is another difficulty - maybe it's just me. I find myself "better" than people, and get upset when people arn't as good as me, and arn't like me. Or arnt' close at least.
Can you imagine what would happen,if everyone awakes in the same time?Dont you think you re asking too much?It will happen, but it might take another 1000years,so,its too far in time to waste time on it now.People, hate them or love them, they ll be the same,so its better to love them.
Then you go and realize these downfalls, and think on them, and then something comes up, and you go off thewall again, and the cycle repeats.
Always!!!

I'm Aquarius and I have been with a Scorpio girl for 3.5 years and have found her forgiving sharing and the best girl I ever meet. we make a good team, and the way things work are understood between us ahead of time, so we have a fairly peaceful teamwork oriented relationship with lots of passionate love.

I am an aries (16 Aparil 1984)... but have four 'planets' in Scorpio: Moon, Mars, Saturn, and Pluto. My ascendent is also Scorpio. What do you think about that ;););).

I think the brooding aspect describes me well although I haven't been aware of it till people told me about it. I tend to be withdrawn and ressassing my feelings untill they explode. I keep at the background unless I get total attention from those around me. Am very independent and dislike getting orders from anyone but mostly I will not phrase it that way but will look for faults in others and tell them it's their own shortcomings that make me not wanting to listen them (implying I would be much better at the job).
Also there's an attraction for everything that is beyond the 'normal', there is nothing that I hate more than stagnation and 'people-pleasing'. I suspect I actually like drama in my life and I sacrifice security for that.

Yesterday I did a tarot reading (thot deck) on a choice I need to make, picking 3 cards for one possibility and 3 others for the second possibility. Now, for the first possibility I had 6 of staves (victory), prince of swords and the prince of cups. The second showed 3 of swords (sorrow), the Tower and ten of swords (ruin). Well I didn't get any wiser from this reading, actually being attracted to the second choice because of the challenges it represents of working through my darkest fears. But well, that's just me, a bit reckless I think :d.

I hate to burst your virtual reality bubble, but if the concept of the precession of the equinoxes is a "pathetic misunderstanding" then most Scorpios are Librans.
and by the way, the Age of Aquarius is yet to come, although thee have been hints of it as it approaches the cusp.

I am also a Scorpio,Nov.6-I love it : }

Scorpios are a fun sign to know and to read about, because the book never ends, there is so much to this sign, that's why alot of the time you will find chapters of other signs, but scorpio will take over the book.
When a scorpio loves they love with all heart and soul, with passions very deep,But if you get to them in a bad way, then they hate with the same passion as they love.

I wrote this before somewhere else but here it is
The scorpio's quote- "When it is good it is very good, when it is bad it is horrid"

Off the subject the sign scorpio a bit, the costellation of scorpio is one of the key constellations for ancient astologers/astronomers. it contains what is referred to s a fiduciary (sp?) star, and that is Antares, the heart of the scorpion. It is named Antares because it rivals Mars (Ares) in redness. it is a great star to look and meditate upon. it is one of the stars that forms the basis for the division of the zodiac. Opposite Antares is Aldebaran, the Bull's Eye in taurus (although if you actually look at the constellation it is not really where the eye should be). There is also Regulus, the heart of the lion (Leo). Some of the other major stars are Sirius, Spica, Arcturus, and star clusters like the Pleiades and Corona Borealis. I think it's important to look at the night sky and directly recieve the light from these stars that were emitted thousands and millions of years ago.
For you scorpios, go out and find the constellation and gaze onto Antares and the other stars there. Not only are (some) Scorpios deep, but the constellation is too. It contains a myriad of clusters, dust clouds, colorful stars. Look at the redness of Antares, and you can see why scorpio is intense.
With the western tropical zodiac there is an overlay of signs over constellations, just subtract 15 degrees from your western planetary placement and you will know what constellation your planets and other points are in. For instance, I have 21 degrees Sagittarius rising, subtract 25 degrees and you get 26 degrees Scorpio (the constellation) which is my sidereal ascendant. so unless your sun is in the last 5 degrees of scorpio, your sun is actually in the constellation of Libra (which used to be the claws of the scorpion anyway). I am an Aquarian with my sun at 28 degrees Aquarius, so subtracting 25 degrees I am still in aquarius. I think that's why the last 5 degrees of the signs are so powerful. Of course this changes over time, but the cycle is long: 25,920 years, 2160 per sign.

Perfectly fine I don't think I'd concider the response off topic at all, since not all systems of astrology do things just like than modern western astrology.

A lot of you seem concerned with which day you were born on, as far as I know this matters but not in the way you all are meaning. A whole chart should be drawn up and to do this the exact time and date of birth are relevant, this determines your planets and houses, as well as their associations with eachother.

Also, scorpios rule.

I'm not one, though.

I am also Scorpio born on the second of November. I was wondering if November the second has any special attributes as it was specifically mentioned in the first page of this thread. Sorry I am a bit of a newbie to astrology and have only read general descriptions of my sign (which was very accurate actually).

Right on Ninlil! The exact time of birth is what differentiates individuals born on the same day. This can't be stressed enough: your birth day will only give you generalities, the birth time gives you the specifics.
Thanks Ninlil, fellow Sumerian pantheon member and Vermonter.
