The Book Your Church Doesn't Want You To Read, Edited by Tim C Leedom
Jesus and the Lost Goddess: The Secret Teachings of the Original Christians, by Timothy Freke & Peter Grandy.
Those two books helped me re-examine modern christianity and understand why I always knew it didn't fit me.

All the Asterix and Obelix books.
Not only did they teach me to develope a good habit of reading , but I remember I used to Giggle My silly little head off as a kid. The funny part was it was years later that I found out the meaning behind the names Getafix *maan thats funny* and Vitalstatistix.
All the Dark forces books
And of course The Riftwar saga.
This was before a friend introduced me to Metaphysics
I cant say any of the books in this area affected me the most , I read a lot , absorbed what I could , and the greatest "book" I cant ignore now is OF.

Beyond Good and Evil - Friedrich Nietzsche : Idon't have the words to explain this choice
Liber ABA; Book Four(all 4 parts) - Aleister Crowley : My "intro to magick" book.
The Book of the Law(Also included in the above) - A. C. : Inspiration beyond compare.
The Works of Edgar Allan Poe : I just like the way his writing never stops effecting me.
So many more that I can't seem to saywhy...

Great to see this thread alive again. For me the most transformative book has been:
A Thousand Plateaus
Capitalism and Schizophrenia
Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari
Translated and with a foreword by Brian Massumi
A Thousand Plateaus continues the work Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari began in
Anti-Oedipus and has now become established as one of the classic studies of the development of critical theory in the late twentieth century. It occupies an important place at the center of the debate reassessing the works of Freud and Marx, advancing an approach that is neither Freudian nor Marxist but which learns from both to find an entirely new and radical path. It presents an attempt to pioneer a variety of social and psychological analyses free of the philosophical encumbrances criticized by postmodern writers.
A Thousand Plateaus is an essential text for feminists, literary theorists, social scientists, philosophers, and others interested in the problems of contemporary Western culture.
"Full of brilliant insights, this series of brief, seemingly random essays on hot topics- war and death, territoriality and the anthropology of groups, model theory, and psychosis-provides much material for thought. An excellent introduction and extraordinary translation of this most difficult book." â??Sander L. Gilman, University of Chicago
Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) was professor of philosophy at the University of Paris, Vincennes-St. Denis. With
Félix Guattari, he coauthored
Anti-Oedipus (1983)and
Kafka (1986). Among his other works are
Cinema 1 (1986),
Cinema 2 (1989), Essays Critical and Clinical (1997), The Fold (1992), Foucault (198
, Francis Bacon (2003), Kant's Critical Philosophy (1985), and
Proust and Signs (2000).
640 pages | 1987
I have only managed to get through the first 40 pages or so and already it has managed to dismantle or transform me a great deal.

Have you read
Anti-Oedipus? If not, do. Also, Guattari's book
Molecular Revolution is excellent.

1) The Bible. (Yes, it did.)
2) Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard.
I know neither of these are probably taken seriously by 90% of the folks here, at least from what I've seen, but I've figured over time that people tend to reject the most important things, and concern themselves with the least important things.

These are some of the main books that led to profound changes in me, though whether they would have a similiar effect on others is very doubtful.
1.Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, by Sigmund Freud
The book that introduced me to one of the primary factors in human behavior.
2.When Rabbit Howls by The Troops for Truddi Chase
The book that started my love for psychology and started my understanding of personality programming.
3.Earth, Air, Fire & Water by Scott Cunningham
My first introduction into magick
4. The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey
It caused me to realize that Wicca was not the final authority on magick and led me to look into other areas.
5. Bhagavad-Gita Translated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
One of the corner stones of my approach to reality
6.Prime Chaos by Phil Hine
Recently broke me out of a mind trap that I've been stuck in for a few years.
While there are others, these are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Regards

1. The Iliad by Homer. Simply an amazing book that prompted me to pursue my academic "career."
2. Modern Magick by Kraig. The very first CM book I ever bought (got it when it first came out - I was 12) and it was instrumental in starting me along the path of CM.
3. The Golden Dawn by Regardie. This will always have a special place in my heart, no matter what type of magick I am currently delving into.
4. All of Bardon's books.
5. Foucault's Pendulum by Eco.
6. The Mutus Liber.
